Predict Trump's first revenge prosecutions!

Musk is an idiot so it's not surprising that Trump has made him part of his inner circle.
For now. This bromance will be short lived; Musk is already beginning to act like he is the de facto POTUS ..the power behind the throne...and Donnie will not tolerate that.
Problem with Musk he does not get to be the power behind the throne you need to keep a low profile.

They're both extreme narcissists so playing well together won't last long and Trump doesn't need Musk any longer.

If I happened to have the opportunity to ask a question when they're both together:
Mr Trump, how does it feel to be working with a real billionaire after so many years pretending to be one?

I'm really wondering if we will see an attempt to charge Liz Cheney et al. with some sort of crime. They are forced to defend themselves in a court which throws at the accusations as ridiculous but not after costing the accused a lot of money and headaches.

Will the attacks all be an attempt to charge them with a crime on spurious grounds?

Hopefully throws out the charges with costs. Which Trumpy never pays, which he can ge sued for, putting him even deeper in legal jeopardy.

I suspect the best they can do is call them in for congressional hearing, all for the publicity and harassment, a show for the maga. Maybe they can find that they used too many paper clips.

Adam Kinzinger says to "bring it on".
"If Donald wants to pursue this vindictive fantasy, I say bring it on. I'm not intimidated by a man whose actions on January 6th showed a cowardly disregard for democracy and the rule of law.

"A man too frightened to serve in the military, and a who requires a strong man like Putin to feel secure. While his supporters were attacking the Capitol, Trump sat in the White House, watching in glee as law enforcement and elected officials scrambled to protect our republic.

"Donald, go ahead and try to rewrite history. Use your platform to deflect blame, point fingers, and play the victim. But the evidence speaks louder than your words. History will remember the January 6 Committee as defenders of democracy—and you, as a man who betrayed it."

They can call them in. But the Repubs set a precedent if not appearing on subpoenas. The J6 committee members will just stay home. So it will be a boring kangaroo court with no accused present, very poor press. They will just find their bugaboos guilty in absentia, which means nothing and looks stupid. But if the Trumpists want to go that way, then...

I disagree. Ignoring a Congressional subpoena is a crime as Peter Navarro found out when he spent 4 months in prison for doing so. If any Dem ignores such a subpoena, you can be damn sure Trump's DOJ will prosecute. Trump wants revenge and you can bet his DOJ will be more than happy to help him get it.

Trump is totally superficial - he's all about his own appearance. So publicly sending a whole bunch of Democrats and Republicans to jail for spurious reasons creates a VERY bad look for him, nationally and internationally. I suspect his henchmen will persuade him not to.

Plus if they do a public investigation all the information against the mango mussolini will come out again. I'm sure Liz will enjoy going over all the evidence - again.

As you say, he's all about his own appearance. And those various R's and D's made him look bad. That's unforgivable and he's not going to let it go. Probably try to charge them with treason.

Oh, they will try all sorts of things, I'm sure! But two dozen congress-critters being sent to jail, or to the electric chair, for not turning up??! Not even Pootie does that!

...come to think of it... Perhaps Pootie can tell Donny to wind his dick back in.

Sending a whole bunch of Dems and "traitor" Republicans to jail for "lying about him" would be exactly what he would want! It would bolster his whole "I was a victim of a political witch hunt" crap.

It's what he wants, sure. He also wanted the Central Park Five hanged. That didn't happen, for good reasons. So his henchmen won't let him have the J6 Committee either. For a start, as mentioned above, they are way too smart enough to know that if the case is reopened, all the bad Trumpy J6 demons will come tumbling out into the light again. It could easily blow up in Trump's face. They need to protect him from himself.

I believe the worst case would be his using Henry II' trick of, "Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?". Some MAGA nuts perhaps some he pardon for J6 will kill or attack x, y and z then he'll pardon them again. Once he has that mechanism in place he'll go hog wild. Its at this point one of his inner circle will assassinate him or the military will move, or the cabinet will try a '25'. We shall see shan't we?

It would be "interesting times". But I expect his handlers will simply bottle him up, and nobody will make the first move.

Or they will find that they're actually OK with it after all.

That's what has happened in the past. However egregious Trump's actions appear to be, the Republican Party finds that they're an acceptable price for their other aims.
