Might be an idea. I've heard my friend's husband, a consultant ENT surgeon, holding forth on exactly why men should be prohibited from going into gynaecology at all. I saw a report earlier today of a woman who was raped and became pregnant during an operation when she was anaesthetised. The surgical team was all male.

I recall one from several years back where an anesthesiologist was caught on camera putting their penis into the mouth of an unconscious female patient. And one from a bit more recently where a female patient in a coma ended up pregnant from having been raped by a male orderly.

Or even more recently, the hospital case from somewhere in UK (can't recall where), in which a female patient in the hospital reported that they'd been raped in the female-only wing... and the hospital lied and gaslit the female saying that there were no males present on the ward because they didn't want to "out" the transgender identified male patient that they had on tape committing the rape.

I seem to remember that the question of violent women has been raised before, with the implication that the policy of excluding males from women-only spaces ( and the general approval among women and men of this policy) must also protect women against violent women or be abandoned.

But that objection is misconceived. The policy will indeed not keep women safe from violent women; or from a host of other dangers, because it was never meant to do so.

Do you mean the sort of people (of any age or color) who deeply believe the social world must be sorted into oppressed and oppressor groups, the latter to be levelled down and the former to be lifted up?

There is a term for this: the toupee fallacy. A lot of people are convinced they know when someone is wearing a toupee, but it’s often with the most obvious ones. In recent years a similar thing has happened with detecting AI-composed writing or images.

Honestly not what that post is about. I'm saying I don't understand why it keeps getting framed like trans people have been given a pass to behave badly in women's spaces 'because they belong there.' Something is misaligned with that. I'm saying that should not be a factor in 'Can we get this person out of here? They are acting weird' and I don't understand why it apparantly is.

It's got to be possible for a regular woman's behaviour to break the social contracts to entitlements like "being in the womens' spa" so why isn't it possible for trans women's behaviour to do the same?

I presume the problem with that would be that behaviour that is perfectly acceptable from a woman (e.g. walking around naked) would not be acceptable from a man. So now you have to have separate rules of what is acceptable according to whether you're a woman or a transwoman, and consequently that will not be acceptable to the transwomen.

I agree as far as that goes. I'm more referring to the reports we're shown of trans women doing far more than just 'exist politely in this space' and of upset women and girls being told 'sorry, nothing we can do,' when someone is lounging around spreadeagled and leering, etc etc, aka behaviour that should not be acceptable from any woman in the first place.
