"During his first term, President Trump made it clear he supported law enforcement and border security,” Yoes said. “In the summer of 2020, he stood with us when very few would. With his help, we defeated the ‘defund the police’ movement and, finally, we are seeing crime rates decrease. If we want to maintain these lower crime rates, we must re-elect Donald Trump.”
What a bunch of bull bleep.

What Mike Fanone Can’t Forget

The day Fanone was dragged down the Capitol’s marble stairs, beaten with pipes and poles, tear-gassed and stun-gunned. The day he pleaded for his life as they threatened to shoot him with his own gun, telling the rioters he had kids, until they relented and spared him.

“There’s people on both sides of the political aisle that are like, ‘Listen, Jan. 6 happened, it was bad, we need to move on as a country,’”

“What an arrogant ******* thing for someone to say that wasn’t there that day,” he says. “What needs to happen is there needs to be a reckoning.”
This is how Americans say "**** the police".

Literally the candidate with the most criminal charges and convictions ever.

I feel like the whole country is taking crazy pills!

I think at this point we need to take irony out of its misery. Watching it suffer like this...

Not surprising. I suspect that there's a contingent within that order that lost out. It's really scary though that police you may encounter in some form or other is a Trump supporter. That really means that they may not be very good at critical reasoning.

Not sure why though. Because they think a Trump administration will give them more leeway in cracking down in blue states and cities?

Weird that they had endorsed Clinton before, and declined to endorse any candidate in 2012.

Leave it America's police to throw their support behind a convicted felon, a rapist, a grifter and who is still facing 60 criminal indictments. As well as organized a riot on the Capitol police.

Counterpoint, because it can't be said enough: Dick Cheney is voting for VP Harris. It's a brave new world

Excellent point. Though I doubt Trump would apologize for getting in the way of his buckshot.

Entire generations are going to grow up not understanding that scene in Futurama where Bender sends his own kid to hell and the literal Robot Devil goes "Wow that was harsh, even by my standards" is supposed to be a joke because that's the level normal Republican politics.

Dick Cheney, a man who shooting someone in the face with a shotgun and making THEM apologize being the least evil thing he ever did, won't back Trump.

I saw an MSNBC video on YouTube about Dick Cheney endorsing Harris for President titled, "Hell just froze over."

No, not surprising, not surprising at all.

I have a cousin who is an NYPD detective and a good buddy who is retired after thirty years as an NYPD patrol officer. They both have told me the same thing.

"Be careful out there. Half the guys I work[ed] with are nuts. Never should have been appointed."

They both say "half." :(

I'm beginning to think the opening narration of Law & Order has been lying to me all these years...

Did they say which half?

If the GRA (the Irish equivalent) did the same thing and endorsed a political party it'd be dissolved the next morning, even if that party were in power.

But then again, I can't imagine Gardaí sldoing something so against their duty to protect and serve all.
