I don't think this will affect the election at all as far as getting Trump more votes. Why would an attempted assassination make someone vote for him who wasn't already going to? Why would it influence an undecided? I don't see it.

I think that there is a very good chance that calmer heads will prevail and that this will not lead to more violence. But I'll admit from feeling a lot less than 100% certain about that.

Well, I'd normally go along with "this is horrible, no matter which party you vote for" sentiments, but literal Nazi felons with a history of insurrection and the people who vote for them don't get that privilege.
