The ADL is a strange choice considering other targets, like the SPLC or other "hate-watch" groups, that are much more strident in their criticism and much more open about their attempts to persuade advertisers to not support hate mongers.

I really don't see what's so special about the ADL to deserve this special treatment other than being the explicitly Jewish one.

He has also said he will sue the Centre for Countering Digital Hate and the state of California for its proposed social media transparency bill.

i think the ADL is a completely different brand of right wingy-ness than the kind drawn to musk. but if you're going to advocate for an orthodox religion or the israeli government, well you're going to be right wingy from time to time

Since the tankies are the ones who defend Russia's use of military force to crush internal dissent, aren't the pro-Russia American right wingers the 'tankies' in this scenario?

Obviously Elon is a notorious liar and nobody should really take any figure he gives at face value, but it's telling that even in Elon's fantasy world there's no denying how disastrously Twitter is tanking since he's taken over.

Even if his wildest dreams came true and courts found the ADL liable for a huge defamation payment (lol, not gonna happen) they simply don't have the ability to cover such a huge loss. The damage Musk has done to the company may well be irreversible at this point.

You obviously don’t understand investing like musk does. He bought it at $44b and it was therefore worth much more in his hand, like at least $90b. Now it is only worth $50b and the Jews are responsible for at least 10% of that drop in value.

The math is a lot different when talking to the IRS.

Quite a lot of tankies went over to the hard and far right very quickly after the Berlin Wall fell, far more than you would expect if you thought they were USSR fanobys for the ideology, rather than for the authoritarianism.

To be properly a tankie you must have supported Russia when it was still the USSR. The name originates from those who supported the red army tanks rolling into Budapest in 1956.

When a Stadion gets a new sponsor and renames itself, that doesn't mean you have to use that name. It's only temporary, anyway.

Or does anyone believe that Twitter will still be owned by Musk in 5 years ?

Musk is busy loading Twitter up with debt, and he will just let it go bankrupt, at which point someone will pay $1 for the name and platform.

As I've commented before he's coming at this as if he is someone new to the sector, he's going through all the easy and obvious ideas people in the past have had (and that have already failed to deliver their goals).

So far he isn't showing any signs of being able to bring anything new to the table.
