Ron DeSantis' problematic history with history itself, this time as an author. Twitter has gone from bad to worse under his "leadership". And now he is endorsing Meatball Ron. So perhaps it's a mutual kiss of death?

Under his management, Twitter has reinstated the accounts of far-right organizers and Neo Nazis, as well as rightwing politicians including Donald Trump, who had previously violated the social media company’s rules.

As I am oft saying someone who acts like an ******* 24/7 IS an *******. He's not acting an *******, he's not an ******* with an asterisks, he is not an ******* on the outside but not an ******* on the inside. He IS an ******* in form and function, technically and practically.

At a certain point what you pretend to be is what you are.

In his case that point was the moment he was born. Unfortunately, Roe v. Wade
happened after 1945. I wonder what a world without Donald would be like? Probably a lot better.

“It was determined at the school that ‘The Hill We Climb’ is better suited for middle school students and, it was shelved in the middle school section of the media center. The book remains available in the media center,” he said.

They didn't ban the book. They didn't even remove the book. They moved it from one section of the library to another.

I would suggest that what he supposedly secretly believes (or believes only for himself and his cronies) is irrelevant with regard to what he actually does. The usual tradeoff of conservatives seems to apply here. You can't call him a hard right fanatic, he's just a hypocrite who doesn't care.

Anyone remember the old "he'll pivot when he's elected" talk about Trump? That he can't REALLY mean all this ****, its just for his base! Yeah, lets not do that **** again please.

IMHO, he is toast, and only reason he is being talked about seriusly is too many political pundits bough in early to the De Santis will dethrone Trump routine and now don't want to admit they were wrong....

After taking swipes at the media and the NAACP (which recently issued a travel advisory for Florida under DeSantis’s leadership), the right-wing governor talked up Twitter.

“Part of what twitter is standing for is people should be exposed to different view points,” said DeSantis, who has been working to ban viewpoints in classrooms across his state. This year, he signed a bill that prohibits public school teachers in Florida from holding classroom instruction about sexual orientation or gender identity.
