Penultimate Amazing
While I don't think we can do much, and we should not be in a position to do much, not caring is a different matter. If, for example, some people are right and the purpose in this case is to install a fascist personal police force to nullify federal jurisdiction, endanger the health of many, and threaten civil rights (which would belie the reasons given), I think we should care, even if we're far from Florida and know none of the victims of either the deceit or the result personally, especially if the person committing the deceit has national aspirations, or if other governors follow suit.I would say that unless we're the state's legislature or one of its voting citizens, we presumably have no real interest in the question and can happily go about our lives without knowing or caring anything at all about the reasons given.
Of course you may differ on this, but I would expect a person of such insularity not to bother to comment very often on much of anything outside his own jurisdiction, and I have not so far noticed that tendency.
