Did ass wipe's attorney do a practice cross with him? That was awful. I mean at best they would have been polishing **** but they could have tried to mitigate the damage. The defense would have been better off if they didn't put him on the stand at all. The prosecutor got idiot boy to admit that Aubry wasn't a threat until they tried to unlawfully detain him. This guy deserves the needle just for his own stupidity.

Yeah, he did rather well when his attorney's were asking him questions, but that prosecutor is razor sharp, and wasn't taking ****. I think my favorite part was, because the defense played up his military record, she used that to completely undress him in front of the jury. Pointed out that pulling a gun is the absolute last step. That no one is forced to talk to him. That when people leave you have to let them. She got him to admit all of that on the stand, and that he was even trained to ******* do it by his own admission. It was so good. It just tickled me.

I thought putting defendants on the stand was usually avoided, but we're seeing it a lot more.

I once heard that the vast majority of homicide exonerations involve the defendant testifying. I tried looking it up but all I'm getting are news about this and Rittenhouse.

I can see it why. It was a terrible idea in this case. He had to tell her his actual words two hours after the event were less reliable than what he was saying now because he was worked up at the time.

Which, might be understandable, but it doesn't play well in front of the jury. He just kept repeating that he had just experienced the worst event of his entire life. He said that same thing probably 20 times when she was crossing him. He even tried the fake crying once, but couldn't pull it off so stopped pretty quick.

Again my "theory" such as it is is that the defense is so ****** because these idiots not just don't think they did anything wrong or understand that they did something wrong but literally can't conceptualize the very base concept of what they did being wrong.

In their world they are on the stand being asked proved a circle is round. It's so obvious and almost self defining that they can't do it.

LoL Roddie's attorney just said "woke left mob" 3 times in like 4 sentences when asking for, yet another, mistrial.

My suspicion is all of that is genuine; that he is just doing what he thinks is a vigorous defense.

If there is an ulterior motive, I'd guess it is more that he's advertising his legal services to a specific demographic.

Yeah, he has to provide the best possible defense he can, and the fact he's going after that shows, as someone else mentioned, how little they have to defend their clients with. Which is fine with me, I'm more than happy to watch them all die in prison.

One thing I didn't until last night when they had the last witness on the stand was that the McMichael's and Roddie released the video themselves. They could have avoided all of this but they released it, initially, in their facebook community group because they wanted to clear the record with the neighbors. They only released the final, final part where Travis shoots Arbery 3 times. They never mentioned the chase or the rest of the video. They wanted the neighbors to think it was all justified and they were good people.

It's a bit of irony that the video they released came back to haunt them and will ultimately be the most defining piece of evidence to lock them in prison for the rest of their lives.

That being said, it does sound like Arbery spend a significant amount of time in the area. It makes no difference but he was caught on camera all over that place. He was never caught committing any crimes, but walking in yards, in that house, etc.

Sounds like a mouse who sniffed the cheese one too many times. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he were up to no good.

There is no evidence that he was. There is evidence that he never took or damaged anything. What would surprise you -- or the McMichael boys -- doesn't justify his murder.

I didn't say his killing was justified.

He absolutely might have been, but as Bob001 said, unless there's evidence then it's nothing more than speculation. It's perfectly fine to suspect him of being up to no good though, you might be right.

Yeah, Roddie's attorney is really, really hung up on those black pastors. He even, wrongfully, announced the MLK jr. was in the gallery. It wasn't, it was MLK the IV I believe, but he's really hung up on it. It's been getting on the nerves of the judge the whole time. Roddie's judge also gives updates on what kinds of signs are out front, and what chants are going on as well.

He complained about "black pastors" and as a result, whole bunch more "black pastors" incensed by this racist inference, showed up to make their presence known. I am pretty certain Rev. Jesse Jackson would never have made the trip to the court if that idiot lawyer hadn't made such a big fuss over it.

There's a term for that kind of stupidity... "making a rod for his own back"

Gunning for a Fox News job after his career tanks.

Indeed, its not hard to guess what news outlet he watches... "woke left mob" is the exact phrase routinely used by the three members of the Faux News White Replacement Club.... Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity

This doesn't mean anything though. When I lived in Christchurch I use to spend a lot of time pounding the pavement (10 - 15k every day) as I trained for endurance riding. I spent a significant amount of time running through two suburbs, Fendalton and Merivale (exclusive, very well to do suburbs full of rich people) even though I neither lived there nor knew anyone who lived there - I lived in next door in Riccarton, shall we say, a not so exclusive suburb. I'll bet I even stopped and wandered through a house construction site or two over the years.

Of course I'm white, but it wouldn't have made any difference - we don't have armed rednecks living in fancy suburbs, who think it's their civic duty to chase down and murder black people for the crime of running through their 'hood.

You're not wrong. Though the footage that was shown he wasn't running. He was just walking through people's yards.

All of that said, it means nothing because the only crime he was even thought about committing was trespassing. They merely blamed the petty theft on him for purposes of the trial.
