How do pagans celebrate Christmas?

No they aren't. But I don't think many are saved. Being saved is a true repentance. Many religious people in Catholic churches go to confession on Sunday, then they are right back to the same sin the next day. That's not what having true faith is all about. If you ask Jesus into your heart to forgive your sins... then he comes and lives inside each believer. He gives us the power we need to not keep on sinning. The things I did before as a pagan I don't do anymore. Because I love Jesus, howelse do you think this happens? Knowlege is power isn't it?
Knowing God through His word is what being a Christian is truely suppose to be about. Being transformed by the renewing of your mind. We become new creatures in Christ. We choose to walk in the light of truth. Not like the pagans do. They don't know any better!
For me I had to not only put on the mind of Christ..but go through the heart ache of repenting from falling in love with the things of this world. Pagans love and serve things that God hates! False Gods!!

Actually no one can convert anyone...this is the work of the Holy Sprit in peoples lives. And believe me when a person comes to true faith in Christ they have a change of heart. It's called conviction! This is the one thing people need more of in our world. What scares me is seeing how many just don't care. They say and do things just to try to hurt the other guy. I don't like that. I can't hardly watch the news without getting upset. God is the author of love, not hate.

Oh yeah. . . all those times in the Bible where God told the Israelites to kill their enemies, rip up all the pregnant women, kill the women who had lain with men, and keep the virgins for themselves. It's nice to know that He was doing it out of love. . .

I will never shut up! And I'm sorry you seem to get so offended by what I have to say. I certainly have much empathy for people. And I was really sad when I got back on the forum and saw your post from Oct. It made me cry to know that you are suffering like that. I was glad to know you are still here after your surgery. I certainly do understand that kind of fear. I've gone under the knife way too much too!
I've got a plate with screws in my spine...eight screws and a plate in my ankle, and now they are talking about a triple fusion for my neck. I understand more than you think I do?

No you don't understand. This is not "compare the pain" kathy. You are condescending and rude. It is not WHAT you say that offends me. It is the unending rudeness and condescention in your preaching coupled with the complete disregard for anyone else's thoughts or feelings that is what offends me.

If I were to go to your little internet forum and began belittling your religion and preaching how being a skeptic is the only way to go, I would be banned faster than you could say "Marantha."

And for the record, you halfwit, my surgery was November of 2004. Had you paid attention last time around you would have remembered that, but I guess you were too busy preaching.

He was trying to keep Isreal a Holy nation, a people set apart for God. Because of their disobedience they went through some very hard things. God's wrath is for a reason. He wants people to live Holy and set a part. I myself want to be on the right side of wrong...now that I can see it. God gave us free will...but He did not say we had to use it? All I found was in my old, sinful nature I was not happy. Now the joy of the Lord is my strength. And this world is not my home! Thank God!!

Seems to me you are the one being rude towards me. Ok , I did not notice it was 2004...It did make me empathetic towards what you are going through in life. Why don't you try to treat me the way you want to be treated instead of getting mad at me for sharing what I believe? I am not the one getting mean and nasty here!!

It wasn't the Isrealites being punished, it was their neighbors. Sounds like they were not a people to be living next door to.

So, God chose the Isrealites to be his "special chosen people", not the Caananites, Philistines, or any of the other tribes of the area. Then he punished the other tribes for not being his "special chosen people". And this is love to you, is it? Neat...here's your sign.

I can't wait to be in heaven, but I know it's His timing in each of our lives. He is the giver of life.
And I too get sad when I think about children to were murdered. Death is part of life. Only God knows what He is trying to accomplish through some of the pain and sufferings in this life? He's the only one that has those answers.
But when I think of what happened to all those baby boys that were murdered by king Harrod. That was obvious. That's an example of a man who hurt many because he was ruled by his own sin. He killed innocent children...not God. We are suppose to look at that bad example of a human being, and choose not to become like Harrod. He wanted to be God. He wanted to be the King of the Jews. It did cost him his life and eternity. Good example of what not to do. I'm sure hell is really tormenting for Harrod. According to a mans deeds in this life shall one be judged!

You do realize that outside of the Bible, there is no historical evidence that King Herod ordered any such mass killing. Just one more "fact" from the Bible with no proof to back it up.

And "Harrod" is a store in London, not a Jewish king. . .

I don't know what God might do with my life. I just try to share what I have learned with others. I realize more people reject God than accept He is sovereignty. I will just try to be a light to this dark world.
