The Trump Presidency: Part 18

I'd place his anti-Semitism and misogyny levels well above his racism's.

Perhaps.
The production staff of the first few seasons say he was more interested in eliminating blacks than women or Jews. They were a bit taken aback when he dropped an N-bomb in a production meeting.

Eliminations had little to do with a person’s performance. President Trump, in his typically capricious manner, would just eliminate whoever he felt he didn’t like.

He could try and pull the US out the Olympics and to the tiny degree we're involved in the World Cup.

The depressing thing is that someone thought to photoshop that for him.
Next time it will be Jesus.

Hell, a Trump opponent should do that. One with Photoshop skills. These are the kind of tricks the left ought to be playing, IMO, instead of wringing their hands about not having a perfect candidate.

Speaking of anti-semitism...
...He played on the dangerous anti-Semitic theme of Jews having dual loyalty to the United States and another country, when he said, "They don't love Israel enough." He then invoked the slur that Jews are hyper-focused on money, telling the crowd that to protect their money they will vote for him -- falsely claiming that 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren's proposed "wealth tax" will take "100% of your wealth away."...
And he went one step further, saying that Jewish people in the real estate business he knows "very well, you're brutal killers. You're not nice people at all, but you have to vote for me."

Oh, and by the way, in addition to him lying about Warren's "100% wealth tax", Trump also threw in the "Pocahontas" slur, just in case any native Americans were feeling left out of his bigotry.

Keep in mind that Trump is also the guy who told a group of Jewish republicans "You're not going to support me because I don't want your money."
That's an opinion piece so it's entirely appropriate, but sometimes I think it would be more powerful to run these sorts of remarks without any commentary at all, or even with a tone of approval, and disseminate them through conservative-leaning social media.

Preaching to the choir is probably a waste of energy.

"Trump calls Jews 'brutal killers' in plea for their support"

In Europe it's common to have 2 flush buttons depending on what kind of potty you went. Imagine how triggered the right would be by that!

I have one of those dual flush models in my en suite. I'll be sure to show my conservative BIL when he comes over for Christmas.

Not so much in residential, but it isn't unusual here in commercial/institutional to see flush handles with dual function. Down for solid waste and up for liquid.

Enough of them that there must be a lot of triggered right wingers, I guess.

Seen on Twitter:

To be fair to POTUS, it is quite hard to get the Constitution and the whole Bill of Rights down in one flush
Love it. But not quite accurate. He would clip out the Second Amendment before flushing.

In a real nanny state, the toilet would already know what you did. Plus whether or not you've been eating your vegetables.

Given Trump's diet, he probably needs a daily enema to clear out the toxic sludge in his gut. Maybe as he's getting his hair styled.

ETA: And tweeting, obviously.

And again I think the problem is Trump supporters understand that and did not elect Trump to (or at least in the actual hope that he would) "make things better."

When you put a bag of flaming dog poop on your ex's doorstep, it's not in the hope that it's going to make them get back together with you.

Trump is, in every way, a bag of flaming dog poop.

He wasn't elected to fix anything and people keep missing the point variously either scratching their heads in confusion or waving their arms in frustration about how Trump isn't fixing any of the problems his supporters are (either genuinely or ostensibly) angry about.

The fact that Trump isn't making anything better is not hurting him. Because he wasn't elected to make things better. He was elected to hurt/confuse/rile up/get back at/troll this vague, poorly defined, mythical "Elite out of touch liberal intellectuals" that Trump's base was told caused it all.

You said it yourself, Trump is unprecedented. Because he is, I honestly believe, the first President ever elected specifically to break the system.

That's why I still say he's winning. Everything he's done wrong is the point.

....I'm sure you're right for a chunk of his voters, but I believe that many thought he'd make it better. I mean, you see it when they interview Trump supporters. Few of them say that they want to see it all burn, one way or another.

A least for a couple of the supporters I work with their intent was not to break the system or see it burn but quite the opposite. While even they saw trump as a burning bag of poop on the doorstep they also saw the alternative as a converging septic tidal wave from a hot wing competition, burrito festival, gasoline fire and comic-con, and apparently still do. They see the alternative (Democrats) as sure fire burning the system down while they're just wounding it a bit as they stack the courts. Apparently the more imbecilic and unqualified the better. Lest the law, precedence and jurisprudence influence their rulings.

I took that as a challenge. Alas, it has been done already.

Another lawsuit that the government will have to deal with:

From: https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/09/tech/amazon-pentagon-trump-bezos/index.html
Amazon alleged on Monday that President Donald Trump abused his position to apply "improper pressure" on Pentagon decision-makers to stop the company from winning a military contract worth billions of dollars. In a formal protest unsealed at the US Court of Federal Claims, Amazon (AMZN) said Trump "launched repeated public and behind-the-scenes attacks" against the company in an effort to undermine its bid and hurt CEO Jeff Bezos, "his perceived political enemy" because of his ownership of The Washington Post.

I can't really see this going anywhere. These types of contracts are pretty complex, and there were probably a lot of people involved in the decision (which makes the claim of interference harder to justify). Still, it is the type of thing you would expect from Trump.

Excellent. Maybe you could do one on the cross?

ETA: I missed that the image was from the Kos. Also useful would be a line saying, "Found this on Breitbart ..."
