So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights. All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here - a lynching. But we will WIN!

Trump is the greatest victim of all time. Nobody has ever been victimized like Trump has. He makes Job seem like a piker.

He's been saying this from the start. If he's allowed to be impeached, it will set a precedent that will lead to every President being impeached if the opposing party controls the House. The only difference now is that he's turning it into a threat instead of a warning. In his mind, it's purely a partisan vendetta with no evidence and no wrongdoing. He also apparently believes that everyone is as petty and vindictive as he is.

Neither, because both are a given.

I was just looking for actual facts about how much money of these mentioned millions are really going to Mar-a-Lago. Yes, it costs millions, but most of the money is not about Mar-a-Lago. If they would go anywhere else, it would pretty much cost the same.
 
I don't know whether this has come up yet (I don't read these threads fully at times) but it seems our great leader can't even get a congratulatory photo op right. Congratulating the two-woman space walking team, he referred to this as the first time any woman has walked in space, missing the historical mark by 50 years (though only 35 or so for American women).

I know it's a small thing, and we've gotten used to the idea that our president is an ignorant boob, but really, given how little he'd have to know to get it right, is there not even anyone on his staff who knows anything about the subject at hand?

You are forgetting that if Trump says this was the first time for a woman to spacewalk than its reality. Don't be surprised if several GOP Congress members will claim that he is correct, or maybe even that he was joking.
This may come as a shock to many but our President doesn't really do a lot of studying of history.

Well, that's at least why I occasionally try to listen to him. Unlike the posters on the science threads that make their own youtube explanations. I don't even try to listen to those.

Certainly a contributing factor as that smugness doesn't easily transfer to just text.
 
Trump now says impeachment is lynching:

I'm not an avid follower of his speeches but every time I've seen him use it it appears to be an answer to a question that he's not previously thought about but doesn't want to appear so - it's just another deflection technique he's learned.

I saw another story that described how he responded to the public correction by one of the astronauts by rubbing the side of his head with his middle finger, making it look like he was flipping them off. I doubt even he would be sufficiently clueless for it to be intentional, so just a lack of self-awareness of his actions.
He also had trouble with the time delay and kept talking over the astronauts when they were trying to respond to his questions.
