The Trump Presidency: Part 17

Trump's odious characteristics are so multi-dimensional that he can't be embodied by any one fictional character. This is my ingredient list:

1. Biff, Back to the Future II, actually based on Trump

2. The kid from the Twilight Zone

3. Charlie the Tuna. Nobody is buying your act Charlie! Starkist doesn't want tunas with good taste. They want tunas that taste good.

4. Chauncey Gardner, Being There, less the endearing qualities. For obvious reasons.

5. Tommy Boy, less the endearing qualities, and less the expertly built product made in the USA.
This falls woefully short. Key ingredients are missing. Where's the racism? Where's the misogyny? Where's the self-centered infantility? These are defining characteristics. I must add: 6. Eric Cartman

Delusions of grandeur is still a tad bit lacking. Charlie the Tuna doesn't quite capture that. (Charlie is still a key ingredient though. Trying so hard to impress the big shots, but never actually making the grade.)

There is a Twilight Zone TV episode, "It's a Good Life" in which a 6 year old boy with supernatural powers terrorizes his parents and the rest of his small town by making childish demands and doing horrible things to anyone who objects or resists. Everone also must constantly praise him, his actions, and tell him how happy they are.

Remind you of the Whitehouse? Except Trump is more like 4 years old.

What a monster his upbringing turned him into!
Never saw the TV version but I know the Jerome Bixby short story it's clearly based on very well.

WSJ editorial: “Trump’s judgment can be so reckless that many voters who took a risk on him the first time will ask if he’s worth a second gamble when he would no longer be disciplined by having to face the voters again.”

The same people that got us into the Middle East Quicksand, 8 Trillion Dollars and many thousands of lives (and millions of lives when you count the other side), are now fighting to keep us there. Don’t listen to people that haven’t got a clue. They have proven to be inept!

Very smart not to be involved in the intense fighting along the Turkish Border, for a change. Those that mistakenly got us into the Middle East Wars are still pushing to fight. They have no idea what a bad decision they have made. Why are they not asking for a Declaration of War?

Do you remember two years ago when Iraq was going to fight the Kurds in a different part of Syria. Many people wanted us to fight with the Kurds against Iraq, who we just fought for. I said no, and the Kurds left the fight, twice. Now the same thing is happening with Turkey......

.....The Kurds and Turkey have been fighting for many years. Turkey considers the PKK the worst terrorists of all. Others may want to come in and fight for one side or the other. Let them! We are monitoring the situation closely. Endless Wars!
:jaw-dropp

Trump invites the Turks to cross the border then says how nice it is the US is not fighting them.

Trump just gave the finger to his GOP Critics on Syria with his latest withdrawal.
Kurds have made a deal with Assad, Putin's Puppet to defend their territyory.
Trump has just made Syria into a Russian Satellite.
Maybe that was the whole prupose of the operation.
Benedict Donald now more then ever.

Eric Cartman is actually pretty good for this, respect my authoritae, big bully... until someone hits back then he cries like a baby.

I don't agree with the 'analysis' of the Ukraine situation. But to bring this back on topic, I was not aware that Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky was the star of a TV show portraying an idealistic schoolteacher whose online video goes viral, propelling him to the presidency. The show was so popular that Mr. Zelensky started a political party and won a landslide victory as Ukraine president. Sounds like the opposite of Trump.

Ironically, Ukrainian anti-corruption activists reacted as many Americans did to Trump telling Zelensky he should get together with Putin -- a corrupt murdering tyrant -- and "solve your problem."
They believe Trump is playing into the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has engaged in a yearslong disinformation war to portray the United States and European Union as weak as a way of laying claim to Crimea and political domination of Ukraine. Trump’s casual comment to Zelensky, during their meeting at the U.N. General Assembly gathering on Wednesday, that “I really hope that you and President Putin can get together and solve your problem” also reinforced the Kremlin line.

“Oh, Putin is loving this. It makes the Americans look unreliable and strengthens the hand of the Russians and the pro-Russians in the east,” said Alex Crowther of the National Defense University. “By withholding aid, you are injecting instability into an already unstable situation and strengthening the Russians.” Link

The Democrats are going to lose a lot of House Seats because of their Fraudulent use of Impeachment. Schiff fabricated phone call, a crime. Democrat Senate Seats will also be put at risk, even some that were supposedly safe. Look at Louisiana last night, North Carolina last week!

“Congressman Adam Schiff, who when seeing the REAL Ukraine phone call Transcript decided he’d better make up one of his own. ‘I’m going to say this only SEVEN times, so you better listen good. I want you to MAKE UP DIRT ON MY POLITICAL OPPONENT, UNDERSTAND, LOTS OF IT, AND.....

.....BY THE WAY, DON’T CALL ME AGAIN, I’LL CALL YOU WHEN YOU’VE DONE WHAT I’VE ASKED.’” A reminder, that wasn’t just stupid, it was FALSE.” @greggutfeld @GregGutfeldShow @FoxNews
I never said this. Schiff made it up and read it to Congress & the American People. End Witch Hunt!

My deal with China is that they will IMMEDIATELY start buying very large quantities of our Agricultural Product, not wait until the deal is signed over the next 3 or 4 weeks. THEY HAVE ALREADY STARTED! Likewise financial services and other deal aspects, start preparing....

....I agreed not to increase Tariffs from 25% to 30% on October 15th. They will remain at 25%. The relationship with China is very good. We will finish out the large Phase One part of the deal, then head directly into Phase Two. The Phase One Deal can be finalized & signed soon!

CHINA HAS ALREADY BEGUN AGRICULTURAL PURCHASES FROM OUR GREAT PATRIOT FARMERS & RANCHERS!

If the man has no heart, no brain, and no courage, then I think we need to add Dorothy’s friends to the list. And there is a lot of “Ignore the man behind the curtain” going on.

I would also add Garth of Izar from the Star Trek:TOS episode “Whom the Gods Destroy.”
One of the 15 most dangerously insane people in a federation of 9 trillion sentient beings.

Grandiose. Sociopathic. Loud. Overly-confident.

Of course it is not a perfect match. Garth is a much more fascinating dresser.

Orange man bad!

He overwhelmingly is, after all. Not because of who he is, of course, but because so very, very many of the things that he's done are bad.

Not so random news time.

Looks like the Kurds have allied with Assad, now.

I'd say that this isn't going to end well, but... it wasn't going to end particularly nicely, regardless.

Russian state TV uses Trump's betrayal of Kurds for anti-American propaganda

This was easily predictable, though. Unlike...

Republican Congressman Tweets Out Image Of Russian Warship To Wish US Navy Happy Birthday

Uh huh. I've forgotten, was Brian Mast one of the group of Republicans that decided to take a July 4th trip to Russia for rather shady purposes?

Oh, and as something of yet another sign of how petty and stupid the GOP propagandists tend to be, especially when it comes to their criticism of AOC...

AOC fires back after getting slammed for paying an average price for a haircut.
