Penultimate Amazing
Haha oh wow. That article had more ads than copy. The bulk of it was a recap of background and recent Greta news. The final two paragraphs of this blurb actually relate to the headline. Here is what they say:Greta Thunberg: How she convinced parents to be vegan and buy an electric car
And yet some claim the parents are manipulating and exploiting her?
"According to The Sun, Greta convinced her parents to turn vegan and to buy an electric car to fit in with her environmental views.
She also convinced her mother to stop using airplanes to travel, and Malena went on to back Sweden’s “flight-shaming” movement."
It's not even original reporting. And there's no explanation of how she did it. Not even a quote from either parent asserting that she did it.
Not that it matters. The claims of innocence from an innocent parent are functionally identical to the claims of innocence from a manipulative parent.
I doubt that even the original reporting by The Sun actually gets to the bottom of question of whether the parent's claim is true, or part of narrative they've crafted.
I'm not saying that her parents are manipulating her and the media. As far as I'm concerned, Greta is doing all this on her own initiative, with the enthusiastic and entirely appropriate support of her parents.
But I am saying that, from a purely skeptical perspective, your citation is credulous crap, evidence of nothing at all*, and you should be embarrassed to have presented it here.
