The Trump Presidency: Sweet/Sweat 16

I think quite a few Presidents have been boorish on occasion;but none have done it 24/7 the way Trump does.

I think we're all boorish on an occasion. But we don't make it a lifestyle. We could create a list of the most awful things Trump has said and done and it would go on and on.

To me the scary thing is his boorishness is what is attractive to his followers.
They are bullies at heart.

Good point. There are so many people harboring a bully-heart. Trump inspires and encourages them, making them feel as if they can finally come out of the closet and express it any vile way they chose.

Birds of a feather and all....

Such an important day at the United Nations, so much work and so much success, and the Democrats purposely had to ruin and demean it with more breaking news Witch Hunt garbage. So bad for our Country!

Pelosi, Nadler, Schiff and, of course, Maxine Waters! Can you believe this?

They never even saw the transcript of the call. A total Witch Hunt!

PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT!

Here is the transcript.

"█No███collusion███. Trump ████ ███ █ best ███ ██ President ██ ███. █ever ██ ███.”

Yeah, after such success at the United Nations too!

President Donald Trump’s United Nations speech was a snooze — at least for Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. The 81-year-old Ross took a nap — a very long nap — as his boss addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday.
...
Ross’s latest cat nap came a day after another awkward video moment for Team Trump at the U.N. Trump was clearly surprised Monday when Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin told reporters in front of Trump that it was U.S. officials who had asked members of China’s trade delegation to cancel a scheduled farm tour in the United States last week, and not the Chinese.

The Democrats are so focused on hurting the Republican Party and the President that they are unable to get anything done because of it, including legislation on gun safety, lowering of prescription drug prices, infrastructure, etc. So bad for our Country!

The Dems are passing much legislation, but Darth Grim Reaper is the gate past which nothing will proceed.

Secretary of State Pompeo recieved permission from Ukraine Government to release the transcript of the telephone call I had with their President. They don’t know either what the big deal is. A total Witch Hunt Scam by the Democrats!

You can't do that. When you get behind a child as a mouthpiece you can't pearl clutch when someone is mean to the kid.

If she wants to play in the big stage, she's not going to get treated with kid's glove.

This is why it's bad form to use children in arguments, it automatically makes the other side the bad guy for not just taking their criticism without responding.

Horribleness of Trump and nobility of Greta notwithstanding.

His comment would be asinine and ridiculous if Greta were an adult. It is even more obviously "punching down" because she is a child.

I'm not a big fan of Greta myself (though her speech at the UN was very good). But I disagree that the fact that she's making political waves means she's just as fair game as a full growed man.

Trump has NO idea what is going on from moment to moment. Much of the current run of debacles is due to his handlers and executive team being complete ****-ups at their day-jobs, and also at wrangling the Trump-mess.

That is presidential, just ask 90% of republicans. Waiting for insulting her looks myself, it seems odd for him to go after a woman and not do that after all.

But, but... NBA Fantasy Leagues! After that Democratic demeaning of the Presidency, nothing Republicans can do should even raise an eyebrow.

Am I the only one that finds the bolded language troubling? Usually one talks about ascending to a throne, as in a monarchy. Don't know if i ever heard of ascending to presidency.

Technically, yes... but this is part of a rather large body of work that's made it pretty clear that the Trump version of being a President is more aligned with being a mob boss/King than what most of us consider to be a President... for most of his time occupying the position. Heck, there was a Time cover that specifically poked at that.

You can't do that. When you get behind a child as a mouthpiece you can't pearl clutch when someone is mean to the kid.

You can, however, be distinctly unhappy with a guy proudly showing that he's part of a malignant cancer upon the world.

He already let one country get away with chopping up one reporter, what’s a mere arrest?

...That was pretty much exactly my response. Beyond that, Trump (and far too many Republicans in general) has been brazenly attacking the Press constantly and endorsing violence against them. That the Trump Administration would simply allow an arrest of a reporter on foreign ground is, well... hardly the worst thing that the Trump Administration has done even if you limit it to its actions towards the Press.

Could the whole Ukraine scandal be a trap set up by team Trump?

Dangling impeachable phone calls and whistelblowers in front of Dems and when they bite, he releases the transcript and all of it deflates and Dems and media are going to be "exposed"?

It's... remotely possible. If it was, though, they screwed it up a bit with the outright and direct violations of the law, which opens them to consequences anyways. Not that the Trump Administration openly breaking the law isn't pretty much a daily occurance, by the looks of it, of course, but it rather looks like this was something that they're busy trying to do damage control on, rather than something they intentionally pulled, especially given the drip, drip, drip nature of the new damning information.

*flips the bird at Trump and the Republicans*

Pathetic taunts from scum don't deserve anything more detailed than that.

Oh, right. Not so random news time.

The Giuliani story has developments!

Ukraine-sized bus rolls over Rudy Giuliani as State Department denies they sent him on 'mission'

Followed by...

Giuliani digs an even deeper hole, points the finger back at the State Dept. and flashes 'evidence'

Related to that...

WaPo: Mulvaney Withheld Funds to Ukraine W/O Knowledge of NSC, Pentagon or State.

...For this to happen, we're already waaaaay too far along the path to a corrupt crony state. The current set of Republicans in charge need removed as soon as possible.

Moving on, though...

NBC has an interesting little story.

“The President actually said to Nancy Pelosi, ‘Hey, can we do something about this whistleblower complaint, can we work something out.’ And she said ‘Yes, you can tell your people to obey the law.’ So she quickly swatted that down." - @HeidiNBC
