The Trump Presidency: Sweet/Sweat 16

When asked about the modified map... "I don't know. I don't know. I don't know."

If I didn't loathe this lying imbecile so thoroughly, I'd be embarrassed on his behalf.

You have to admit, however, that this is a very uncharacteristic response from him. He usually acts confidently, as if he knows everything.

Now Trump is claiming the doctored map was the original weather map.
Trump total inability to admit he made a mistake is incredible. And his lies to try to cover up his mistake make him look a hundred times worse then the original mistake.
This whole "to ever admit I made a mistake is a sign of weakness" just shows how insane his obsession with being "Strong " is.
As someone once said, Trump is a weak man's fantasy of what a strong man is like.

I think it will be something silly and little, where Trump makes himself look like a loser that ends up being the tipping point. After all "Better Russian than a Democrat" has a certain value in trolling the libs, especially as Vlad is pretty sound on gays and non-Christians from their point of view. It's not really the same to say, "Better a president who tries to lie using sharpies than anyone else".

"It was so the real map," Trump insisted to reporters. "The Weather King came by in person. He said I was the best, the greatest president ever." Then "There is so a Weather King! He lives in a huge house made out of candy. I've stayed there. I built that house, actually, my company did, it's a luxury golf club. I got nine holes in one there once. A hundred holes in one. I'm so good at golf I can hit two balls at once and they both make holes in one, the Weather King saw it. I invented golf."

And the problem is that the above is almost believable as a set of quotes.

Well for me, it's now Mount Rushmore. I thought of doing the inaugural address myself but clearly I wasn't the only one who thought of that idea.

If you have twitter you should like the #SharpiePresident hashtag. I was crying I was laughing so hard. Some have sharpied planes into Revolutionary War images, changing the voting results to Hillary 0 and Trump 1,000,000,000, and so many others. It's so funny.

I keep waiting for some journo to post this vid clip beside his similar response when lying on Trump Force One about the Stormy payment. The same tell.

“If the President says it, and it’s illegal, he was just joking”.

I am now realizing just exactly how hypocritical many so called conservatives have become.....I always though that rule of law, not men, was a basic conservative principal.
Fact is, many conservatives have sold their souls and their principals for the sake of political power. And, as always, power corrupts. It becomes an end in and of itself, and you end up throwing away the principals you started with in pursuit of it.
And I am not happy about this, since I have a mistrust of the "progressives" as well. FOr one thing they have adapted a "all conservatives are evil" attitude that is a mirror image of the "all liberals are evil" attitude you see on the right. They seem just as hostile of the idea of compromise. They will be just as corrupted by power if they get ahold of it. You need to have left and right balance each other.
Third moderate centrist political party anyone? I agree with Max Boot that might well happen.

Again my response to anyone who defends any Trump action; real or hypothetical with "he was just joking" is... no. And you know how I know this? Because when have you ever seen Trump make a joke? I don't mean smug trolling, he does nothing but that, but I mean an actual joke.

Shades of "Better Hitler Then Blum" in France in the 1930's.The idiots who think that need to remember what happened to France....

Or the variant of that...."Don't pay attention to what Trump says, but just to what he does" IMOH an incredibility ignorant statement.

That would be the democratic party. Being slightly to the right of Nixon that would seem a good comfortable place for them to be centrist.

Another bit of random news.

Trump Administration Reverses Standards For Energy-Efficient Lightbulbs

And I'm sure this isn't meant to be a petty, "we're going to undo everything Obama did just because we can" move, right?
At least that explains the nonsense.

Remember when Reagan had the solar panels removed from the White House?
A Brief History of White House Solar Panels

These idiots have something against change.

And speaking of vendetta ignorance, W dropped the ball trying to get Osama because they were all convinced Clinton wasn't doing terrorism abatement right. That resulted in the 911 disaster. (See Against All Enemies by Richard Clarke who saw it happen first hand.)

Now we know...

This.

For the tenth time, the "establishment" faction of the Democratic Party, if you like, have been functionally centrist for a good two decades, perhaps longer. Their rule has been compromise first, fight second, no matter how obstructive the GOP is. They've perpetually had one foot out the door.

Progressive social views have been adopted by many top Democrats, but fiscally they are just a peg left of the Republicans. Actual progressives on both counts have only recently emerged in the mainstream.
