The Great Charles Payne @cvpayne correctly stated that Fed Chair Jay Powell made TWO enormous mistakes. 1. When he said “mid cycle adjustment.” 2. We’re data dependent. “He did not do the right thing.” I agree (to put it mildly!). @Varneyco
Donny has no idea how any of this works. He has Jews in yarmulkes to do this sort of stuff with money for him.

Also, someone should ask him in public to explain in more detail how the stock market works. He won't, of course. Of he will, and utterly bollox it up with made up "big beautiful" stuff.

We are winning, big time, against China. Companies & jobs are fleeing. Prices to us have not gone up, and in some cases, have come down. China is not our problem, though Hong Kong is not helping. Our problem is with the Fed. Raised too much & too fast. Now too slow to cut....

..Spread is way too much as other countries say THANK YOU to clueless Jay Powell and the Federal Reserve. Germany, and many others, are playing the game! CRAZY INVERTED YIELD CURVE! We should easily be reaping big Rewards & Gains, but the Fed is holding us back. We will Win!

Wait a minute. Trump appointed Jay Powell to head the Federal Reserve. And NOW he's suddenly 'clueless'? Great vetting there, Donnie!

Sad!

Donald Trump Jr.
@DonaldJTrumpJr

So while @realDonaldTrump has spent his entire career standing up to China and leading the fight against their authoritarian regime, @JoeBiden has spent his entire career cheering China on and watching his son get rich off of it. #ChinaJoe (link: https://twitter.com/zaidjilani/status/1161469747067785221) twitter.com/zaidjilani/sta…

That twitter feed seems to be all Zaid Jilani and almost nobody else. In short, it's a personal rant-fest. Which says that someone else who holds Donny's phone besides Donny went on a Google search for this loudmouth or someone saying things like him. Donny would NEVER have found him on his own. Also explains the 3-letter retweet comment. I'm guessing Kellyanne Conjob again.

Hang on a sec...

That's Charles Payne of Fox Money News? The guy who got thrown out of Wall Street for underhand dealing? And now giving stock market advice that Donny agrees with??

...says it all.

In 1999, Payne settled with the SEC over a complaint alleging that on at least eight occasions, Wall Street Strategies recommended that its clients purchase members stock through recorded messages on its telephonic stock recommendation service. The complaint also alleged that Payne failed to disclose that he received payments from members to promote members stock. Without admitting or denying the alleged violations, Payne consented to the entry of a permanent injunction against violations of Section 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933. In addition, Payne agreed to pay a civil penalty of $25,000.

Trump just retweets anything that he thinks agrees with him. It doesn't matter whether it's accurate or even makes sense. If it's Trump positive, he goes for it. He's an idiot.

Trump Tweets today are not nearly as good as the Pennsylvania speech. Nothing like the real Trump live.

Looks like Trump is backing out of some of the tariffs.

I'm not much for CT's, but I seriously wonder if Trump does this on purpose to get the leg up on some insider trading. I heard it the other day, that people seem to buy stuff up when he imposes tariffs and the stock drops a bit.
No it's being walked back because of the USA Thanksgiving sales period. Too many of his supporters would have noticed they are in fact paying for his tariffs not the Chinese and someone has managed to put it to Trump that he looks like a masterful negotiator if he does this. All you have to hope is that no one on Fox starts saying the President has "climbed down" , if they do he'll quickly slap on the new tariffs.

It's amazing that a couple of years ago I would have posted something like the above about Fox as a tongue in the cheek or sarcastic comment. Now I do believe it is simply a statement about the reality of the USA's president's decision making process.

...
How does it end? Where is peak Trumpian weirdness? Suppose he dropped his pants at a rally, just to prove he has a normal willy ... would he get away with that on Fox? Seems likely to me, the way things are going.

he's a fun guy but he'd never do anything like that because he'd never want to give Stormy a chance to be proven right. Can you imagine the memes that would mushroom on the net? You might not see it immediately, but it would be the last ring of the bell, end of his presidency.

Good things were stated on the call with China the other day. They are eating the Tariffs with the devaluation of their currency and “pouring” money into their system. The American consumer is fine with or without the September date, but much good will come from the short....

..deferral to December. It actually helps China more than us, but will be reciprocated. Millions of jobs are being lost in China to other non-Tariffed countries. Thousands of companies are leaving. Of course China wants to make a deal. Let them work humanely with Hong Kong first!

I know President Xi of China very well. He is a great leader who very much has the respect of his people. He is also a good man in a “tough business.” I have ZERO doubt that if President Xi wants to quickly and humanely solve the Hong Kong problem, he can do it. Personal meeting?

I found this insightful:

I never saw that in prior trade deals the US was always the loser - these were carefully crafted deals that sought a balance where both sides stood to gain. Otherwise why would both parties sign on? Clearly, some were better than others, but blowing things up like a bull in a china shop is perhaps not the best path to thriving and mutually beneficial global trade.

Perhaps President Xi should offer the hand of friendship and suggest a personalmeeting to help Trump sort out the problem Trump has in Baltimore?

I saw Laura Ingraham immediately tweeted that trump had caved as soon as news came out that he had suspended the application of he new tariffs. Didn't check to see whether trump had responded to that in his usual way, but I think even he would hesitate for a moment.

There has been talk of moving US troops to Poland. Poland has requested an armored division. The US does not currently have any division sized units in Europe. This is mostly a bad idea since there is better defensive terrain in Germany when it comes to dealing with any sort of invasion from the east.

I think the important point is that Poland offered to pay. In the new Cash-and-Carry Trump Diplomatic Corps that counts for a lot.
