Schiff's being really good here, too.

I think that most of this today was wasted time, but ultimately good has come out of it, and it really hasn't been good for the Republicans.

Doubly so than this morning. I thought both of the committees were organized, as far as the points being made went, and I thought the GOP was just yelling into the mic.

I also notice that all of the quotes I'm seeing that come from Trump only quote what the GOP lawmakers say, none of them quote Mueller's response. Interesting.
 
It's understandable that Republicans want to outdo each other for the soundbite that gets the Trump Tweet prize - it's the only currency of value in the party.

I expect there to be about a thousand commercials made out of this testimony\bitch fest that will run perpetually in swing states starting in about 6 months.

OK, that is just bizarre to me. Just his using the word "TRUTH" is strange to me.

There was nothing surprising that came out of the questions. There is such a large number of people involved in the investigations, that at times the swirl of names strained my recall.


It was interesting at times when a Republican began with great praise for Mueller's military background, his patriotism and such, and then launched into a diatribe of 'how-could-you-do-this-to-our-hero', type-questions.

To paraphrase Arthur Dent, 'Perhaps this is some strange new use of the word "Truth" I wasn't previously aware of.'
 
The GOP antics in and of themselves harm our national security. The entire world knows that you can attack the US, and if it's a Republican who benefits from it they will run interference or even participate. The rest of the GOP will fall in line.

This is a message that will encourage all the bad players to try. There is no true penalty for them to do so.
