Mueller basically saying that Trump did his best to avoid an interview. That kind of flies in the face of the "we were totally committed to assisting the investigation in every way."
 
"Certainly not as useful as the interview would be" - Mueller on Trump's written answers to his questions.


ETA: Maloney tells Mueller that he doesn't strike him as the type of person who flinches, to which Mueller responds "I would hope not".

I have to say, I can't find the post right now, but I agree that the Dems really do seem organized within themselves. They all seem like they had a point they wanted to work on and have worked together to make sure everything has been directly asked.

The conversation went on to Mueller saying that he was looking at the balance between finishing the investigation in a timely manner vs. the extra evidence that could be gained by doing the interview. Maloney attempts to get him to say that he therefore thought he had enough evidence for Congress and the AG to start their own investigations, but Mueller won't bite.

Demings confirms that Trump's written answers were made under oath, and gets Mueller to admit that Trump's answers were not always truthful.

I knew the man had a sterling reputation, but I do appreciate the work he's done and the testimony he's given. Wish he was younger so he could continue to kick legal ass.

It's a glimmer of hope. Perhaps also a shot across McConnell's bow. I was surprised in a good way.

Mmm. Krishnamoorthi just barely touched on the fact that Mueller's Report doesn't address the question of whether Trump was compromised at all by Trump Trump Moscow.
 
Mueller says that much more needs to be done to prevent election interference in the future, not just from Russia but also other hostile countries.
