Here's the thread on the call. Avenatti is almost as loony as Trump but at least he didn't use a fake name.
 
I worry about Popehat sometimes. His coverage of lawyers self-destructing puts him into contact with some real nutcases. Avenatti is clearly coming unhinged.

Ken was also once covering the story of Lee Van Dyke, a nutcase attorney that was associated with the Proud Boys. He is in constant hot water for making violent threats and his life is going off the rails as he faces criminal and professional bar related consequences. It is not inconceivable that someone like Dyke might take the murder route on their way circling the drain of society. Hope Ken takes precaution.

I doubt any of them can top Brett Kimberlin, the pedophile domestic terrorist. Brett isn't an actual lawyer, but he does file a lot of frivolous and vexatious lawsuits, which is how Popehat got involved. It's likely that Brett has also been involved in SWATTing people, which in other cases has actually gotten victims killed.

Thanks. I don't read twitter, but the first thing I thought of was popehat. I just listened to their podcast yesterday where he talked about the Avenatti call. Avenatti kept saying how people called him to tell him what a nobody Popehat was.

Oh yikes, Brett Kimberlin - haven't heard that name in a while.

I don't think that's likely. It seems that Avenatti has become unglued. He was already in hot water legally for his dubious bankruptcy actions, and his interactions with the public indicate a bit of instability.

He put his own head in the noose with the Nike extortion attempt.

Maybe he was desperate for money to cover all his other screw ups.

It gets better. First, Avenatti had just announced his own press conference where he was going to expose Nike, right before the charges against him were announced:

Second, apparently SDNY isn't the only ones going after Avenatti. He was just arrested for wire fraud charges brought by federal prosecutors in Los Angeles.

And to think, this guy got closer to seeing Trump in court than Mueller did.

The whole Stormy Daniels-Trump crew is what would happen if "Trailer Park Boys" was a show about lawyers instead of trailer trash. Everyone involved is just so greasy. I think Avenatti is in the eye of the s**ticane right about now.
