What a weird question, because I cannot imagine anyone being a serial bankruptcy grifter like Mike.

But the answer is no, because I am of the opinion that Avenatti should have been arrested and charged with bankruptcy fraud a long time ago. Why they are coddling this mutt baffles me. Anyone else who did what he did should also be in jail.
 
Avenatti seems to circling the drain.

Recently filed to declare bankruptcy on his former firm, Eagan Avenatti, that is in receivership. He clearly has no authority to do so and this is a pretty transparent example of bad faith filing meant to obstruct upcoming examinations into the law firm in receivership. He is due in court Wednesday to respond to an emergency dismissal motion of the bogus bankruptcy filing, which Popehat thinks will end very poorly for Avenatti.

So Avenatti's last few days:

1.a the judge dismisses Stormy's suit and she has to pay Trump $293k
1. makes a fraudulent bankruptcy filing to stop him from having to testify
2. the receiver files an objection to his fraudulent bankruptcy filing
3. stormy daniels hires a new lawyer
4. stormy releases a statement that the new lawyer will be handling all her claims
5. minutes later Thirsty releases a statement that HE fired Stormy!

Initially some tried to present Avenatti as some great guy, simply because he was vexing Trump. I never really had a great opinion on him to begin with and it got worse as things went along. The enemy of my enemy is not always a good person.

Trump is a trashy guy and has trashy problems. Fighting with your porno actress mistress over the validity of your NDA is a trashy problem. Unsurprisingly, it involved trashy people like Avenatti. I am more than happy to watch these trashy people wallow in their trashy problem, slinging trash back and forth at each other.

Seems that Daniels can't get a break when it comes to legal help. Her first attorney was working against her interests, her second was good at first but flamed out hard. Hopefully third time is the charm.

Mar 8, Avenatti, claims they won! Writes: "It was a team effort driven by the fortitude and bravery of Stormy. Without her, I would have never had a chance at it."
Mar 12; Stormy fires Avenatti
five minutes later, mar 12; Avenatti claims he fired Stormy in February!

This is going to make one hell of a movie when Mike gets sentenced to prison!

Well, more specifically, the point of this thread was to give The Big Dog a place to rant so that he wouldn't clog up the previous threads about Stormy's lawsuit and Trump's campaign finance violations.
 
Avenatti played his role well but with Cohen's admission that he and Trump committed a felony violation of the law, his role is likely done. He hurt Donald Trump, perhaps dishonestly, maybe unfairly but he threw blows and they landed and that's always a good thing. He understood that no consideration of fairness, honesty or decency should ever get in the way of hurting Trump and for that he's a patriot.
 
Republicans should work on the assumption that Avenatti is going to be the Same Front-runner in 2020.
The fact that he is on no ballot so far should not figure into it.

I disagree. He probably just saw an opportunity to make it big. However he did harm Trump, and probably hasn't even harmed Stormy Daniels - doe to the publicity.

Whatever happened to Avenatti's emergency hearing yesterday (Mar 13th) regarding his obviously bad-faith bankruptcy filing. I was expecting news that he got gavel-slapped by the judge, but I'm not seeing anything.

Did that hearing get delayed?
