Anti-Muslim Terrorist Attack in... NZ?

There isn't a requirement that people already be there to be an immigrant. The first colony on Mars would be immigrants.
I disagree, and the dictionary definitions I have consulted all explicitly or implicitly postulate the existence of a previous population in any place into which people definable as "immigrants" come to reside. The first people on Mars will be "settlers", not immigrants, by general definition. Here's wiki
Immigration is the international movement of people into a destination country of which they are not natives or where they do not possess citizenship in order to settle or reside there, especially as permanent residents or naturalized citizens, or to take up employment as a migrant worker or temporarily as a foreign worker.

I read country as in the phrase undiscovered country or back country.

Both of which are thought of generally as already inhabited, albeit by unknown peoples. I don't think a desert island can reasonably be thought of as a "country". The original Maoris were settlers in an empty land, as were the Iceland Norse. But now there are no more empty islands of any significant size.

Back country is a term for wilderness.

But apparently, that is a US specific term?

You could claim that we are all immigrants, except anyone who still lives in the parts of Africa where the first recognised homo sapiens appeared. But settler is the better term and it is those who appeared much later, such as white European colonialists, who were the first of many waves of immigrants to countries such as New Zealand.

What is the national status of the shooter? Could he be sent back to Australia?

The story of the hero who wrenched the gun away from the shooter has changed.

He didn't disarm the shooter. He instead picked up an empty gun dropped by the shooter and chased him to his car with it. He was unable to shoot Tarrant because that shotgun had no remaining shells. Tarrant entered his station wagon and the hero heaved the gun at him. The hero says the gun broke a window, but I don't know if that's true because that car already had a broken windshield and a broken passenger window.

Gone also is any mention of other people inside Tarrant's car. He was always alone as far as I can tell.

I'm personally thinking Facebook has a fair bit of in looking at the moment

If they have algorithms that can pick up a chicks nipple and delete it, it can't be that hard to have alerts for uber amounts of posts of guns and key words of hate, they can pick up and report.

Problem is the whole "We are just a platform, not a media outlet, you can't put the onus on us" argument

There is another problem, they want their huge profits, if they are to properly moderate the content on their platform those huge profits will be turned into not-so-huge profits. Nations have to start saying "if you want to make money from us you have to be responsible".

Er... That's the report I was reading all day yesterday. What do you mean it changed?

There were a variety of reports of what this man did. They said that he took a gun right from the shooter's hands by sneaking up. Most if not all of the first versions said that.

I think this is all part of the alt-right patois. They spend a lot of time in communication with each other, trading similar memes and making self-referential in-jokes, that what is unintelligible to normal people, has gained its own meaning among their crowd. That upside down OK sign, that frog, "remove kebab", "subscribe to PewDiePie", is just their way of winking at each other.

Typo?

Back to the egg?

My only point on this subject is that nobody was charged over throwing mud or faeces in Don Brash's face when he was Leader of the Opposition, nor was the chick charged for throwing a dildo at a Cabinet Minister.

Anyway, more important matters...

I visit a few forums that debate Holocaust Deniers.

Me too, and one of my favourites is Stormfornt, where I've cultivated some interesting relationships.

What scares me most is how some of these people are completely normal - and even highly intelligent - until you get on the subject of race.

You're not wrong, Tarrant is being hailed as a hero. I note they're all trumpeting the increase in visits and posts since the attack. Nothing like a whole lot of dead ragheads to bring out the cheer squads.

Please provide the evidence that the GCSB and SIS are searching social media of NZ Citizen and resident Muslims.

Mate, where have you been for the past few decades? Not in NZ, obviously.

You cannot have missed this story if you were anywhere near the country in 2007: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_New_Zealand_police_raids

Banquetbear has also posted evidence in regard to others the dumb pigs have been watching while letting Tarrant buy guns.

Sounds like you have friends in all the wrong places.

Funnily enough I have friends in senior gang positions and senior positions in the corporate world, but very few online and I certainly don't class racists and spreaders of hate that I talk to friends.

wasn't megaupload a video storage site? What does it have to do with all this?

Sharing and storage combined. Store your filth, music, videos and hate speeches. It was pretty hard to get banned from it, with it being a well-known haunt of paedophile activity.

Tarrant managed to get banned, so whatever he was sharing there was too extreme even for Dotcom.

It's called the US First Amendment.

What total nonsense. Farcebook, YouTube and Twitter are all private companies and not bound by the 1st.

The police & co have for decades been focused on peace groups, Maori and Muslim activists, even Communists. This came out of the blue for a simple reason: they weren't looking for it.

Bingo.

I'm pleased to see the anti-muslim Farcebook activity is back again this morning. Must have been tough for them, having to shelve their public hatred for a couple of days.

Australian PM sides with teen eggspressionist

CANBERRA, Australia — Australia's prime minister has suggested an anti-Muslim senator should be charged after he hit a teen who cracked a raw egg over the legislator's head.

Sen. Fraser Anning has been widely condemned for blaming Muslim immigration for racist attacks on two New Zealand mosques that claimed at least 50 lives.

The 17-year-old boy who egged Anning has become an online hero.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Sunday took the side of the egger, telling reporters: "The full force of the law should be applied to Sen. Anning."

Police allege the 17-year-old, who calls himself "Egg Boy" online, assaulted the senator with the egg.

Anning "retaliated and struck the teen twice" before the boy was dragged to the ground by Anning supporters, a police statement said.

"The incident is being actively investigated by Victoria Police in its entirety," the statement said, including Anning's actions.

Anning has now been assigned a federal police security detail, a precaution usually reserved for the prime minister.

A GoFundMe page set up to raise money for the boy's "legal fees" and "more eggs" had vastly exceeded its target on Sunday.

The site says most of the money will go to Christchurch victims.

Except it's pretty hard not to see the Trump connection. He's stirring up white nationalism all over the world. The shooter even referred to Trump.

But Clinton?

The shooter referred to a couple people, including Trump and Candace Owens.

No matter how much they try to disavow it, there it is. He credited them by name.

The mystery of the other two arrests looked to have been partly solved - neither of them are implicated in the attack in any way.

One has been charged under around objectionable videos, while the other has no details given yet.

In both cases, as they weren't involved in the attacks, it show how easily these people are hiding in plain sight.
