Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Arrested in Prostitution Sting

Patriots fans abandon their team. Nobody goes to the games anymore. Nobody watches as they go on to win yet another Super Bowl.

Lions fans haven't abandoned their team, and they haven't even been to a Super Bowl.

The Fords still own the Lions.

A rub and tug at a rub and tug retail store, is not going to alienate the fans.

Is he guilty of the presumption of innocents?

Presdumption of innocence applies in the court room, but does not apply in the area of public opinion. Just ask Harvey Weinstein who has not been actually convicted of anything yet.
As stated, in the world of entertainment, image is everything.

Especially not Patriots fans. Makes him more relatable, if anything.

Yes, if they were in fact trafficked, and not just doing a crappy job in exchange for getting to the U.S. Paradoxically, most of the problems associated with prostitution in the U.S. are the result of it being illegal. A woman who needs help is committing a crime herself. In countries (and even Nevada counties) where prostitution is legal, the business is licensed and regulated, the cops know who's doing what, and a hooker is free to go to the police like any other businessperson and ask for assistance.
As the articles linked in the OP stated, this was a human trafficking sting operation. Mr. Kraft, of all people, could have easily directed his private plane to Nevada, Germany or Guadalajara, but he didn't.

You missed the word play. It was subtle, but it still made me sad to see that you missed it.

We don't know if any of the prostitutes here were trafficked.

Ted: "Officer, I am about to have sex with this woman."
Officer: "Is the woman agreeing?"
Ted: "Oh absolutely!"
Officer: "Well good luck and a fine day to you Sir!"
Ted: "But... I'm going to give her money."
Officer: "Well know that complicates things. Are you giving her the money for sex?"
Ted: "Well let's say I just give her money and by pure coincidence she agrees to have sex with me?"
Officer: "Well I suppose that would be okay."
Ted: "But if we were to implicitly agree to trade sex for money..."
Officer: "Then it becomes illegal..."
Ted: "... but we film it."
Officer: "Legal again!"

Ted: "But I'm only filming it for private use."
Officer: "Sorry, illegal."
Ted: "What if I distribute it for others to see?"
Officer: "You mean on Youtube? Not so good."
Ted: "What if I create a pay website and put it there?"
Officer: "Legal."
Ted: "Even if I don't have any paying customers?"
Officer: "Still perfectly fine. Have fun."

Officer, what if I am paying her to go away afterwards?

One thing that gives me pause in the story is the categorical denial of "doing anything illegal" from Kraft's lawyers.

I wouldn't expect billionaires' lawyers to advise counterproductive denials when the cops have video tape. "We've seen no evidence [yet]..." or "We'll respond to the charges in due course..." would be more typical. (Of course, if their client insists on denying it anyhow they have to go with that, "Mr. Kraft denies...", but I'd think most billionaires are used to taking their lawyers' advice most of the time.) So, is there something else to the story? Might the police have been too excited by catching a big fish to carefully assess what actually happened on the table? For instance, if Kraft solicited a spanking (as in, hand, buttocks, that kind), or for the girl to strip while he did himself, would that be illegal? Lord knows a lot of people from Massachusetts have unconventional tastes, and the guy's 77 after all.

If I was Kraft and I was totally guilty I would have my lawyer categorically deny anything illegal. I would start from there.

Pretty stupid.

He could have gone to any number of places where prostitution is legal and regulated.

He could afford to be the sugar daddy for any number of willing young ladies.

Why is he at a two-bit sex trafficking salon...

Then he has to explain to his family why he is in rural Nevada or wherever he would go. What if he wants this sex weekly?

That looks ugly to your family members. He can't hide in public.

Why is he at a two-bit sex trafficking salon...
Because nobody knows except his chauffeur. And he can stop there anytime during the day for a half hour or less. Nobody knows and to him it seems like a safe and good situation.

Look, the legal pananlites, from what we know, for Kraft are going to be slight(unless it comes out that coercion was used). But Kraft is in the entertainment business, and in the entertainment business you live or die by your public image, and his squeaky clean image took a hit...a big one.

Yeah but this is sports. Joe Paterno is still practically demigod in Pennsylvania despite covering up mass child rape. Mike Tyson had some of his biggest fights after being convicted of rape.
