I'm interested as to what substantial change there might be in 3 days between the votes that would make any difference. I mean the aim is to get her to show her cards on what Plan B actually is but I can't see her doing that.

The only way no-deal happens is if they let us fall off the cliff so they won't actually put that to a vote in the Commons. So it seems like the most likely outcome is just 3 days of chaos and then a giant mess. (pretty much as has been the case for the past few months if not the last almost 2 years)

No idea, but I'd certainly vote Yes. I'm not sure I could follow the Scottish football team though. That would be a step too far.

Berwick play in the Scottish League, so you can fudge it ;)

Couple of issues:
  • They play in league two, so it's quite literally not Premier League football
  • Their home ground is still in England, so you'd still need your passport for home fixtures.

I know English ex pats over here who vote for Sinn Féin, so I'm sure there are plenty in Scotland who vote SNP and would vote yes to independence.

That was the EU referendum, but according to an Edinburgh University study of voting in the Independence Referendum, reported in the Daily Record on 26 March 2015
While 52.7 per cent of native-born Scots voted Yes, a massive 72.1 per cent of voters from England, Wales or Northern Ireland backed the Union.

There were more than 420,000 Britons from elsewhere in the UK living in Scotland when the last census was taken.

I think the point is, since a Scotland referendum would be to preserve (or reacquire) EU membership, you could split off some of them and that gets you a majority wanting out of UK.

It seems now that a beyond the 29th of march is increasingly likely, with Grieve leading the charge:

Delay Brexit if deal is rejected, Dominic Grieve tells Theresa May

Given the number of bills that need passing and the low likelihood of May winning the vote on her plan a delay seems almost inevitable. With any luck this will cause Jacob Rees-Mogg to spontaneously combust in sheer frustration.

What they should do instead is start protecting our border, undertaking the necessary checks on vehicles ensuring the goods have been declared correctly. That is one thing that Tusk has said was OK, IIRC.

Face it, although the UK would be far worse off with a no-deal Brexit, it would also harm other EU countries.
