Satanic Sculpture at Illinois Statehouse.

I can't stand the Satanic Temple. I should want to give them credit for publicly admitting they don't actually believe "Satan" exists, either literally or figuratively, and that they chose the Judeo-Christian anti-deity for the sole and expressed purpose of trolling Christians. But the problem is I can't stand trolls, to a greater degree than I credit honesty.

They can have their silly statue though, to the same extent anyone else is allowed a silly statue.

They were trolling this time, but they do good works under the cloak of religion in other matters.
 
It is great all the things The Satanic Temple does. I am not at all surprised that people like Seth Andrews and the Freedom from Religion foundation and others are huge fans of them and what they do

TST embraces Satan as much as a symbolic knowledge-bringer, rebel, and champion of the Other as to tweak the noses of Christians. And because Satan has a rich literary and artistic tradition; evokes stupid and harmful superstitions amongst certain subcultures in this country. Ahriman, Set, or Kali just don't have the same punch.

Kali does not punch. She just pulls off her yellow scarf with a knot in the center and one at each end. And applies it as required. Or, if busy Her Thugee handle it!!!!!

Curious are free to ask, I knew from early 1960's Monarch PB of the movie Stranglers of Bombay .
