This thread is still serving its intended purpose.

If anything new there happens it will be revived. However if too much on Stormy shows up here it will likely get moved.
 
It's probably worth pointing out that there's some equivocation going on, here. There isn't just one case with Daniels and Trump, there's two. The first is the issue over the NDA, the second is the defamation lawsuit. Trump conceded the first and won the second.

And, as you ignored, they have a great huge war chest of money raised on the internet, so it will cost her nothing. Meanwhile, the lying buffoon in the White House just lost the U.S. House of Representatives due to an unprecedented turnout for a mid-term election and is now trying to decide on whether to retire in 2020 to Mar-A-Lago or the Crimea.

Yeah, boy... that sure hurt her financially. A fairly lowly paid porn actress who probably had a maximum bank balance in the hundred thousand bucks range, if that, and who now likely has about as much. Wiped her out, that did! And Donald Trump is still a lying idiot, only now he's been on the front page of every paper in the country proving so. She and Mr. Avenatti did far more damage to Trump and Cohen did to her. She's a household name and will be assured of income even as a sideshow attraction well into her dotage. What has Trump taken away from her? A promising career in nuclear physics?

This is the point that TBD is conveniently ignoring. I bet Avenatti was on a NATIONAL television 200 times pointing out to the world that Donald Trump screwed this porn star a couple of weeks after his wife gave birth to his son and then paid her to keep quiet in the waning weeks of the campaign. Thousands of articles were written about how Trump lied to the American people and the campaign laws he broke.

I wonder if TBD has a clue just how much that kind of advertising is worth and why it was a bargain if it cost 500K or ten times that much. Stormy came out smelling like a rose. Avenatti did well for himself as well. Although it sounds like he had other problems. TBD has every right to be gleeful that Avenatti has his own legal problems. But even he can not deny that Avenatti was more than a burr under Trump's saddle.

True but thanks to Stormy Daniels, and Avenatti we both knew what I was alluding to. And millions of potential Trump supporters do too.

I'm still of the idea that shallow humiliations like having what looks like toilet paper on his shoe, or being unable to work an umbrella, or having his manhood mocked is potentially more damaging to his image amongst his base than any amount of reason.

Mockery for these seems to hurt his feelings, and make him more likely to lash out on twitter and act more unhinged which doesn't help in keeping lukewarm* supporters


*Even though most will have left, there are still going to be some who are unprincipled, but think that on balance, he's a good deal because he can harm abortion rights, for example.

Brilliant, even if unintended. Reminds me of 7th grade gym, when they mad us get a jock. Most of my female classmates needed a bra more than I needed that thing.

I can only find Avenatti sharing that photograph in reference to his case.

My opinion remains the same - we should wait for more evidence before forming an opinion.

Absolutely with you. Avenatti is surprisingly the only source and an extremely vague one. Either way it’s a dumpster fire.

She sounds perfectly believable. I 100% believe she's telling the truth, and Avenatti deserves to go to jail as far as I'm concerned.

It also seems that Avenatti's claim about the 2015 photo of a woman with a bruised face, is false. The real victim posted images of bruises on her arm, not her face. Her account doesn't mention being struck in the face. I suppose it remains to be seen whether Avenatti was deliberately lying by misrepresenting his girlfriend's accusations as claiming the bruised-face photo showed her injuries, or whether he simply believed and retweeted someone else who was deliberately lying.

Avenatti is a POS media-whore, and I long ago said we should ignore him and the Stormy Daniels nonsense. Unfortunately, Avenatti decided to screw up the Kavanaugh hearings with a client claiming "gang rapes." Even if the accusations against him are untrue, he should **** off.

Yea, he blew it big time. His problem is all he really had was the Stormy Daniels nonsense which got him in the door. But that wasn't enough to keep him front and center. Trump's mistake was to enforce the NDA. If he hadn't tried to muzzle Stormy, there would have been little reason to put Avenatti on TV. But as long as Trump was denying it all and being litigious CNN, MSNBC, et al would give Avenatti air time. The guy was articulate and telegenic and the story was good.

The one part of being media savvy Trump failed to learn was knowing who and what not to fight.

But it seems like Avenatti's 5 minutes of fame are up.
