Atheists destroy churches, attack the faithful

I find it interesting that religion seems to follow along with society to a degree.

More primitive religions seem to have multiple gods, most nature oriented, just as society consisted mostly of small tribes, each with their own leader.

Civilization led to more established cities/countries, with hierarchies and such, and that got reflected in more established pantheons of deities.

Then you got the Roman empire with the one man that ruled everything, and monotheistic religions started up there.

Just idle though, I'd have to research it, but it does look like there's a lot of "as below, so above" in the development of religion :)

Well there is Akhenaten and of course China was far more centralized and advanced than the west for much of history and it never got really organized into such a religion. India as well. It seems to only be europe that followed that path.

Nope, i am still talking about human rights abuses in China perpetrated by Unyielding Marxist Atheists.

Cool that you admitted what you were still doing, tho.

So do you actually care anything about human rights?

I have asked you this simple question several times and you have consistently failed to answer it.

So do you actually care about human rights?

I have asked you this question many times and you have always avoided answering it.

Do you actually care anything about human rights?

I have asked you this question many times and you have never answered it.

Those who pretend to care about human rights while using the language of their religion often show just how poisonous their religion is.

Since you do not care anything about human rights, then you should not care about this issue either.

So do you actually care about human rights?

I have asked you this question repeatedly and yet you have continually failed to answer it.

So do you actually care about human rights?

I have asked you this question several times and you have never answered it.

So do you actually care about human rights?

I have asked you this question sever times and you have never answered it.

So do you actually care about human rights?

I have asked you this question several times and you have never answered it.

So do you actually care about human rights?

I have asked you this question several times and you have never answered it.

So do you actually give a hoot in hell about human rights?

If you actually cared about human rights, then you would at least have an honest reason to be so terribly aggrieved.

Since when have you ever cared about what happens to Muslims?

If you actually cared anything about human rights, then you would find a more receptive audience.

Repetitious and sanctimonious postings to an internet forum will fail save these followers of your god just like your god continually fails to save his own followers.

If and when there ever comes a day when you actually do give a hoot in hell about your fellow man, then please be so kind as to make sure to let the rest of know about such a remarkable event.

I keep on asking you if you actually give a crap about human rights, and you continually ignore my question.

So do you actually give a crap about human rights?

So do you actually give hoot about these Muslims?

So do you actually give a crap about human rights in China and the US Constitution?

So do you actually care anything about human rights?

I have asked you this simple question several times and you have consistently failed to answer it.

gaze upon what passes for concern about human rights abuses folks....

That was never my point. My point is on how the metaphysical beliefs behind atheism (metaphysical naturalism, i.e. "the universe is all there is") for some atheists possibly influence their political actions. I am quoting from the official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party when they frame it as "atheism vs theism", "materialism vs idealism" and "science vs superstition".

If that was never your point you could have fooled me!

The Chinese Communist Party does not speak on behalf of all atheists.

As an atheist yourself, are you not at least curious about that? The impact of atheism on actions when it is declared as a platform by a political party with real power?

Or do you think that atheism has no impact on political beliefs and real-world actions?

Communist doctrines ARE the point. What do YOU think they mean when they write that it is a struggle between atheism and theism? Are they acting as unbiased observers?

Communist doctrines are not the point when you are talking about atheism. Atheism just means a lack of belief in gods nothing more. An atheist can be a believer in monarchism for that matter. No contradiction there at all.

Just a suggestion, why don't you have a chat with the Pope?

He seems to have some pull with the Chinese, and I seem to dimly recall reading that you were part of his congregation?

Your solution is that The Big Dog should have a chat with the Pope?

ok

well you're going to need someone who can talk to the Chinese, aren't you?

At least there has been dialog.

You see - coming to a mainly atheist forum and blaming atheists for the issues in China is a really constructive way to get results, isn't it?

As I said before, I already made suggestions, which suggestions have already been made by others and right now the US Government is considering sanctions.

I was unaware that this was an atheist forum, and was certainly taken aback by your suggestion that it was dedicated to getting results in China, as opposed to discussing and indeed educating people about the ongoing human rights abuses in China.

Although your suggestion that I talk to the Pope is super, given the fact that there are millions of Catholics living under the yoke of Unyielding Marxist Atheists, and to quote an atheist who really excelled in genocide:

"How many division does the Pope have."

Stalin.

How are you getting results?

Trying to have a productive dialog? Good luck with that.

There are no beliefs, metaphysical or otherwise, behind atheism. Atheism is lack of belief.
Atheism is a lack of belief in a god or gods. There are metaphysical implications in such a stance. Read up on metaphysical naturalism if you get a chance.

The worldview of people influence their actions, including political actions.
Exactly correct! How much influence is at play here is the question I am raising.

The Chinese Communist Party does not define atheism. They might define some "Sino-atheism" just as they define some "Sino-religiousness".
If they were real atheists rather than just sino-atheists, in what way would they act differently?

What do you mean by 'atheism', here? Real atheism, which is simply the position that no gods exist, or some ideological position that will let a totalitarian government include religions as their enemies?
The latter, obviously, as per observations of what is going on in China.

Of course they are not. They are acting as people of power who don't want to share their power with some gods they consider non-existent. This is a trait of people who don't respect the worldview of others, it is not a trait of atheism.
Again, not my point. Let me hopefully steel-man the conversation:

A political group, declared atheists, gain power. They believe that religions are false because there are no god or gods, and they believe that religions are a danger to social well-being. So they decide to limit and then probably remove religions in they can.

They are acting on the idea that they regard religions as a danger to society rather than to some pure idea of atheism.

I think we are all on the same page at this point.

People then think that I am arguing that "they are doing this because they are atheists!" But I am not arguing that. I'm asking how the metaphysical beliefs behind atheism -- the idea that the universe is all there is -- influences their actions. I see the statement that it is "atheism vs theism", "science vs superstition" and "materialism vs idealism" as an indication of thought processes behind their actions, which is ultimately about control.

The fact that we see the same atrocious behaviour in other governments with state-sponsored atheism is possibly significant. It's a bit like how some pro-Communists in the West defend Communism. You point out to them how communist governments lead to totalitarian governments and they will say "Oh, that's not REAL Communism! Real communism just means the people own the means of production. We've never had real communism, only people who just wanted to exert totalitarian control!" But that just ignores the connection between communism and the development of totalitarian impulses.

So that's the point I am making: what is connection between the metaphysical beliefs behind atheism and what is happening in China? Is there a connection? I think there is. I'm not saying "they are doing awful things only because they are atheists", but rather "they are doing awful things, and atheism is one aspect of the reasons behind it." The idea that all officially-declared atheist governments behave that way suggests some kind of connection.

Well as dog has stated. The christian doctrine is to destroy property and hurt non-theists. I could hardly believe it at first but he convinced me.

Never. which is why this belongs in CT

VVVV

Save the date! [ Event now has goat sacrifices, Baphomet cake and we had a nifty abortion clinic bombing planned, However, the christians beat us to it ]

All are welcome, clothing optional

October 13th or A full blue blood moon while Sagittarius is in the house of Orion while orbiting Neptune, For maximum summoning of evil.

How evil? We plan on replacing every plate of chocolate cookies kids put out for Santa this year with oatmeal raisin.

Why would christians do that? Once again your efforts in exposing christian human right abuse is much appreciated.

That's what you get for spreading the truth of christian human rights abuse.

Some just don't wanna hear it.

Trying to have a productive dialog? Good luck with that.

Trying to have a productive dialog? Yeah, I have had zero luck with that. Thread about actual human rights abuses and a poster tries to abuse Christians and not one of the so called skeptics dares to call out atheists for their ********

Why would a dude who supposedly has a direct line to the all powerful catholic god need divisions? He just needs to convince his god to look after his own believers.

Is this the club that the op mentions where we get to destroy churches? I've never done that before and I wouldn't know where to begin. Is there a tutorial?

I think you misunderstand. TBD has no real problem with Muslims being placed in camps. He is just upset that atheists did it when it should have been a job for Christians.

To quote a frequent poster in this thread:

'k

Apparently criticize the atheists is the solution.

Why would a dude who supposedly has a direct line to the all powerful catholic god need divisions? He just needs to convince his god to look after his own believers.

Yeah, no discussion of human rights abuses by the Chinese Government.

Oh well.

/by the way, please don’t think that because I have quoted only a few posts that the rest are not equally worthless.

Wow! Thanks, I have never before had anyone take so much interest in my worthless posts. Usually they just get ignored.

It's a given that the Chinese government abuses human rights. They were doing it before I was born and they will still be doing it long after I am dead. I have no solutions to offer so for myself, discussing it is not worthwhile.

I am more interested in the atheism aspects that were raised in the op, and still waiting for evidence that this a significant factor.

No you are not, it has been presented in spades.

But it is curious, you are more interested in the fact that atheists did it then the fact that there are a at least a million human beings in re-education camps.

Because it is absolutely clear that atheists are way more concerned with the fact that I have pointed out that atheists were behind it then the actual human rights abuses themselves.

Fascinating how self absorbed and lacking in empathy such arguments have been in this thread.

Atheist are the real victims.

Have a seat and a nice cold glass of water or some warm tea, You seem flustered. Here I was just trying to support you for calling out christian human rights abuses and agree with you.

Such ungratefulness.

I post up to date analysis issued long after and updating the earlier reports, including the Amnesty report, yet refusing to even acknowledge that maybe, perhaps... there is new evidence regarding the scope of the problem? Like three different satellite views of the camps, from nothing to large to "enormous" which was from an image from October of 2018?

Holocaust CCP Pogrom deniers. what are ya gonna do?

Do you see how you don’t understand anything? I am not denying the existence of internment camps in China. I am not denying that it is a big problem. The pictures you linked are not opposite to what I am saying.

I am accusing you of manipulating the data and of being unable to understand the important information contained in the Amnesty International report that contradicts your pamphlets on some points.

For example: You say that there are "a few" million people in the internment camps. You are guilty of two falsehoods:

1. The estimated figure is around one million, rather up but not “a few” millions as you said. It is very large but it is not the one you quote.
2. These are not people who are currently locked up, but people who have gone through internment camps since their founding in 2014.

Furthermore, you cite the atheism of the Chinese president as the cause of the policy of repression against the Uighur minority. That is a lie, since the camps started with the former president. It is also a lie because the indoctrination in the camps refers to patriotic and praise songs of the Chinese Communist Party and learning the Chinese language. Nothing of atheism.

There are more of your lies that Amnesty International's report exposes, but I think there is enough for now.

NOTE: I advise you to show this to your confessor or spiritual padre. Perhaps they can reply in a more consistent and diversified way than you.

I'll stick with the dictionary definition, thanks. Funny how you ignored them.
an organized massacre of a particular ethnic group, in particular that of Jews in Russia or eastern Europe.

an organized massacre of helpless people such as a massacre of Jews.

The organized destruction of an ethnic group

Dictionaries are great. Like science. We learned something today.

We have reached the point of the thread where apologists quibble about definitions, rather than address the deliberate persecution of all religious groups both approved or condoned by the Unyielding Marxist Atheists in China

Oh, you silly billy.
