If this is really what the American public wants, I can't understand why former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo's political career fell apart. He should have been a contender for the Republican nomination in 2008, but instead the GOP ended up with McCain. At the time anti-immigrant rhetoric had limited appeal to U.S. voters. I don't know what changed in those 10 years.

So we have reached a point where the President of the United States supports shooting unarmed civilians.
The man has no decency, and those who approve of this policy have no decency.
 
I have a sick feeling that no matter what happens on Tuesday, violence is going to ensue.
Some people have said the US is in a "Cold Civil War". it might well turn Hot before 2020.

You're not alone. As I said before this is only going to get worse. Trump helped bring the bigots out to play, even as he was propped up by them.

Best part? The cop killer in that ad came back in 2002 under GWB, and committed his crimes soon after. Dolt 45 managed to come up with an ad that's worse than Willie Horton, which was at least honest (and done by a fake third party rather than the candidate directly - and Atwater ended up really regretting that one, while Cheeto Benito has no shame).

We could have serious discussion about whether Democracy can survive the Internet.
Problem is bad behavior on the Internet usually does not have consequences, and now that is spreading to other media.
