So are we just stuck forever in an endless loop of "Argue over who 'counts' as a member of what group and to what degree a group is responsible for extremists sub-groups within itself" until the end of time?
1. Most of these groups are self identifying. There isn't some sort of... accrediting agency handing out official membership cards and collecting dues in most of these cases.
2. Once a group reaches a (relatively small) size limit it's gonna have a few violent extremists just by the rule of averages.
3. Most of these groups are not organized in any traditional sense. They don't have hierarchies or command structures that orders can be sent down through.
