I don't get it. The whole world has been laughing at this buffoon ever since his inuauguration. His tweets are SAD! His proposed legislation kept getting rejected. Putin made a monkey's uncle of him. His moronic son and smug-faced son-in-law set up meeings with Russians. He keeps HM the Queen waiting ten minutes. He cheats on Melania whilst she pregnant and/or a new mom to Barron. His own lawyer tapes him paying off some woman he's supposed to have sexually harrassed.

...And he's still in office?

Americans, do you feel no shame or embarrassment?

Even Rocket Man laughed at him.

I could care less about the highlighted part. But I'm with you on the rest of it. But being a jackass isn't enough to lose the office. You have pointed out one superiorities of the Parliamentary System to the US Presidential system. That is a no confidence vote and the call for immediate elections.

Does Trump seriously not realize that the best defense in this case is to remain completely silent? Do his lawyers not have the ability to tell him to keep quiet on the matter? I mean, seriously; every time he tweets about this crap he just keeps digging the hole deeper. It's utterly ridiculous already; we're now approaching the realm of unalterably mindboggling that this man does not know to keep his mouth shut about such things. How many lawsuits and court proceedings has he undergone to date? Hundreds? And he doesn't realize that the more he protests his innocence the guiltier he looks?

Seriously Trumpy; let the evidence talk. If you aren't guilty of anything, the evidence will show that. If you are; well at least you can face your fate with some measure of dignity.

His lead attorney is Giuliani. His stance on silence has been made very clear. Why should Trump behave any differently? He's just helping with the digging.

Stop the presses! Vixen has actually said something I agree with. And yes, I am ashamed of and embarrassed by Trump every minute of every day. I am ashamed of and embarrassed by those who continue to support this lying, narcissistic POS despite everything he has said and done. I don't understand them and I never will.

It all goes away, he's proved "innocent" and carries on regardless.

I disagree. It would result in a political explosion like we have not seen in this country for a long time.
I think this country is on the edge of the abyss;a Mueller firing would ,imho, send it over.

I am giving seriously consideration to moving more in the direction of a parliamentary system since Trump took over.

In principal I'd agree with you, but Brenda isn't just an old lady waiting in uncomfortably hot weather for the selfish buffoon to attend their appointment (seriously, I'm a republican, in the literal small 'r' sense but I wouldn't be so inconsiderate), but also the representative of one of America's greatest allies. A slight to her is a slight to all of us, even those of us who aren't monarchists.

Eta: Other countries with her as Head of State (even those considering changing this arrangement) may also take offence at this.

Special prosecutors were a mistake.

Any questioning of Dear Leader is a mistake in your book....
How would you have handled the Russian Accusations? A committee of Congress in a congress controlled by the GOP which is so scared of "THe Base" they won't say boo to Trump?
I just wish you wold be honest and say you would support anything to keep the GOP in power..

I have ZERO respect for hereditary titles of any kind. But she is the Head of State so protocol requires a certain amount of decorum. But Joe Blow off the street is also deserving. It angers me to see anyone treated with disrespect. It annoys me to see a a President representing me and my country so boorishly. I think he should treat all foreign leaders with appropriate respect even if they aren't our ally.

But considering all the offensive things Trump does daily I have to consider this to be a minor infraction.

On a side note though. The idea that a great republic like the UK still having Kings and Queens is offensive to me.

But the UK isn't a Republic. They are a Constitutional Monarchy by choice.

Of course you do.

I'd say the way Ken Starr operated they might be a mistake. But Mueller has proved to be no-nonsense and by the book contrary to Trump's wild ass daily tweets.

What do you mean it's not a republic? You have a democratically elected government. The queen is merely a potted plant with no authority.

Were you saying that about Ken Starr during the Clinton administration, or is this something you have come to feel differently about since then?
I was still a teenager and pretty apolitical when that started. I dimly recall thinking the whole thing seemed somehow silly, but that perjury, at least, was a pretty obvious no-no. It wasn't until years later that I actually bothered to find out the details of whole thing.

And it wasn't until years after that, that I started to think about what is the deal with special prosecutors anyway.

I'd say my thinking about a lot of stuff has changed in the past 20 years, and since I was a teenager. Hasn't yours?
