It's been noted before that it's vaguely creepy how he constantly has to refer to Strzok and Page as "lovers", but now she's "the lovely Lisa Page"? Ick.

Probably. And possibly in office. For example there is nothing baring the election of someone presently incarcerated from being president. Fundamentally there is no law that covers this and the supreme court has never formally ruled on it.

It's been suugested ("people are saying") that Manfort's lawyers now know what Gates has told Mueller and have passed it to Trump and Giuliani, sparking the current panic.

Does Trump seriously not realize that the best defense in this case is to remain completely silent? Do his lawyers not have the ability to tell him to keep quiet on the matter? I mean, seriously; every time he tweets about this crap he just keeps digging the hole deeper. It's utterly ridiculous already; we're now approaching the realm of unalterably mindboggling that this man does not know to keep his mouth shut about such things. How many lawsuits and court proceedings has he undergone to date? Hundreds? And he doesn't realize that the more he protests his innocence the guiltier he looks?

Seriously Trumpy; let the evidence talk. If you aren't guilty of anything, the evidence will show that. If you are; well at least you can face your fate with some measure of dignity.

It literally doesn't matter what he says or does, or whether he is guilty or not guilty. He will be protected from the consequences by his own ability to generate his own reality and the GOP's craven obsequiousness.

In his mind he has won every court battle he has ever been in and never had to settle. From his perspective, his is a winning approach.

OK, I do. But I'd rather see every damn penny taken away from him. Make him and his destitute. Thrown out in the streets...preferably in front of Trump Tower and see them remove his name from what were his buildings. Make him do actual physical work. Have him dig ditches until he has a stroke.

In my dreams, whenever a newspaper story or opinion columnist or talking head quotes him they omit his name, instead substituting “, says the man who has stated he believes Vladimir Putin over every US intelligence agency.”

And didn't he announce last night that he has won the war on Christmas? That was a big one, rescinding the Obama restrictions on saying "Merry Christmas."

Indeed so.

I think that we may be getting to the point where everyone who is still close to Trump is getting afraid of being close to Trump.

After all, just about a day or two ago, Giuliani sort of admitted (without any provocation by the way) that there was some sort of pre-Russian meeting before the famous meeting with the Russians who claimed to have some good dirt on Hillary Clinton, and that Trump did know/participate in this pre-meeting.

Therefore, if what Giuliani said is true, then Trump himself could be in some serious trouble.

Furthermore, Giuliani has lately been claiming that 'collusion with the Russians' is not actually a crime.

And while such an argument is quite novel, however making such an argument does imply that Trump did actually collude with the Russians.
