I wonder of Kushner has a breaking point like Cohen does, and whether these type of comments (if true) might cause Kushner to flip and turn on Trump. (Granted its a bit more complex with Ivanka involved.)

I don't know his family has some nasty habits for when one rats out family to the feds. Remember why his dad went to prison

His obsession with the wall is just incredible.
Even many hardliners on immigratation think it's a dumb idea and the money would be better spent on hiring more immigration agents.
.Of course Merit Based really means "White European (preferably Protestant).".

Only about 25% of us Americans do not understand this. The vast majority of us are embarrassed of Trump and the GOP and how they are destroying the USA.
 
Lest we get complacent, the republic of Gilead forges on: Jeff Sessions announces a ‘Religious Liberty Task Force’ to protect hate groups
Sessions announced the task force in a speech this morning, where he said that Donald Trump’s election has given the right a “rare opportunity” to stop a “dangerous movement, undetected by many” that is eroding religious freedom.

“We have gotten to the point where courts have held that morality cannot be a basis for law; where ministers are fearful to affirm, as they understand it, holy writ from the pulpit; and where one group can actively target religious groups by labeling them a ‘hate group’ on the basis of their sincerely held religious beliefs,” Sessions said.

Sessions mentioned Jack Phillips three times. Phillips is the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, which took a case to the Supreme Court recently to ask for a religious exemption to Colorado’s antidiscrimination law so that it could refuse to serve a gay couple.

But while conservatives prefer to talk about cases involving cake, the Trump Administration this past January announced a new Department of Health and Human Services initiative to advance doctors’, nurses’, and other medical workers’ “religious freedom” to refuse to help LGBTQ people.

Yeah... I pretty much characterize Pence and his buddies as people that would happily and arbitrarily send me and pretty much all other LGBT people to brainwashing and torture camps until we shut up and acted exactly how they want us to act, if they could get away with it. Trump, not so much. Trump would just go for it if he thought that he could get away with it AND get great headlines and praise in the process.

And... in somewhat similar matters, today is apparently the last day to submit comments on a proposed regulation to remove Title X funding from any programs that include abortion in its list of potential options.

As I peek at the comments there, I quickly came to the conclusion that anti-choice groups have been spreading the word like crazy. Personally, of course, I oppose, given that said changes will fairly certainly have overall negative impacts on health and health care, with no actual benefits to even begin to balance out the harm.

When they aren't crying, that is. The saddest thing I've seen in many a year was in yesterday's news in a comment by an Indian politician describing his government's reprehensible move to make about 6 million Bengalis into non-citizens with rules very similar to Myanmar's.

"This is unspeakable. We don't want to become another Myanmar or USA!"
