Arguments from analogy always fail. Try again.

What I'd like to know is how the claim "all politicians are corrupt morons" is in any way different from "all cops are violent psychopaths" or "all rich white people are tax evaders".
Or "all Trump supporters are racist nitwits"?

Educate me.

Has Wikileaks publicly disclosed a preference for the GOP? I don't recall that.

It would, of course, undermine their partiality. And it's bloody well consistent in the past couple of years. But a public pronouncement that they support a particular party? It seems to be counter to their stated objectives.

If they're now doing Russia's bidding, as seems to be in evidence, asking for an official proclamation of preference for one US political party or the other is asking for something that's pretty much irrelevant from the start.

"Congratulations to @JudicialWatch and @TomFitton on being successful in getting the Carter Page FISA documents. As usual they are ridiculously heavily redacted but confirm with little doubt that the Department of “Justice” and FBI misled the courts. Witch Hunt Rigged, a Scam!"

"Looking more & more like the Trump Campaign for President was illegally being spied upon (surveillance) for the political gain of Crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC. Ask her how that worked out - she did better with Crazy Bernie. Republicans must get tough now. An illegal Scam!"

The sad thing is that there are people who will read what he's tweeted and, without reading the documents for themselves, or even any analyses of them, will just assume that what he's saying is true.

Assange is another Hillary hater. I can see him supporting Trump in spite of the GOP.

Well, he started off with the "collateral murder" wikileak, noting crimes (arguably, or whatever) in Iraq during the Bush years. Then there were the NSA/Snowden leaks during the Obama years. Then people started calling for his (Assange's) assassination, etc, probably including Clinton herself, so yeah, he totally lost any objectivity he might have once held at that point, I think.

:eye-poppi

I assume that we can agree and simply enjoy the majestic irony of this post.

The quoted piece said "in light of the disclosure of their preference for the GOP..." That phrasing surprised me, since it makes it seem as if Wikileaks has announced a preference.

So...no.

The applications, though heavily redacted and released via FOIA request, show pretty clearly that this is not the case - and further go pretty far in showing that Nunes and the GOP was lying about their contents.

Now, Dolt 45 doesn't read and is obviously self-deluded, so we can assume he has no clue what they actually say. But as for the rest of the GOP house, and particularly that guy who had to jump out of a car and run to the WH to tell WH officials about info he discovered at the WH...they're pretty much looking like garbage now as well.

More like garbage.

Um...they smell somewhat worse?

Nah, he's despised Clinton for longer than that, I'm pretty sure. And the idea of ordering a drone strike on an Embassy in another country just to kill one guy...especially given that these drones are not at all stealthy, that even stealth doesn't work *that* well, and that Clinton, without a doubt, knows all of this because it's certainly been discussed with foreign governments precisely because we essentially need their permission to fly them in their airspace...let's say that I outright laughed the first time I saw that claim.

Wikileaks at one time also had some prudent restraint and would work with respected media outlets and authorities to curate the data. Now they prefer unredacted document dumps that spawn absurd conspiracies and meaningful dialogue gets buried in the noise.

Worth note: in theory, the US government ultimately answers to the voters. This is a large part of why the GOP (and the dems to a lesser extent) is into gerrymandering and voting suppression. Didn't like how guys like Cheney and Rumsfeld cooked intelligence on Iraq? Vote them out.

Don't like what WIkileaks is doing? Yeah, well, tough. And guys like Snowden, Greenwald, and Assange (ordered intentionally from best to worst actor of this poor lot) have been peddling absurdity and brazen political favoritism for years.

"@PeteHegseth on @FoxNews “Source #1 was the (Fake) Dossier. Yes, the Dirty Dossier, paid for by Democrats as a hit piece against Trump, and looking for information that could discredit Candidate #1 Trump. Carter Page was just the foot to surveil the Trump campaign...” ILLEGAL!"

"Andrew McCarthy - “I said this could never happen. This is so bad that they should be looking at the judges who signed off on this stuff, not just the people who gave it. It is so bad it screams out at you.” On the whole FISA scam which led to the rigged Mueller Witch Hunt!"

"Probably" when Snopes says unproven? Come-on, how many BS CTs about the Clinton murder family do you need before your default position is 'doubtful'?

The evidence besides a vague source is an email title Assange claims was evidence:
However, the text of those e-mails (located here and here) neither said nor implied anything of the sort:
This in the atmosphere of planted lies by Russian bots and trolls?

There is no there here.

Not to mention that other country was the UK.
