This thread has degenerated into a vacuous back-and-forth.

Short of ignoring the entire thread - I still hold out some hope for it - I’m going to reluctantly use the “ignore” function on one particular participant, who I have tried to stop responding to already. I think it will improve the signal-to-noise ratio and overall flow. I suspect I will still get the gist of dialogs, such as they are, from quoted posts.

Taking over our healthcare? You CAN'T be serious. There is national healthcare in Japan, Canada, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany and a great many countries. None of which are fascist, or National Socialists.

I often think the right is deluded and stupid,, but of course not all of them are. Time to get a real education. You don't have a dumbass clue what the NAZI party and fascism was about. It's not democratic socialism or even close.

Where did you go to college Logger? Did you study political science? Did you study the rise of Mussolini and Hitler? What books have you read about these events?
If you were even slightly educated in that area you would know that you just dropped a huge load of manure. The key is Nationalism, not socialism. The Communist revolution in Russia stunned the world and National Socialism was the response. There are some very tiny similarities, but overall they are very different.

Fascism was about a government partnership with industry.

Must reading. Chilling in the gradual descent of Germany from a Democratic Republic to what it became under Hitler. I believe it’s available online as a pdf.

This is one of those slight grains of truth things.... Canadians often come across the border into the US to do large amounts of shopping because clothing is cheaper here. It doesn't have anything to do with tariffs though, just due to things like taxes.
