The show was certainly not all that bad, as sitcoms go. It was a relatively (surprisingly?) faithful recreation of the original. It dealt with some tough social issues with a certain amount of compassion and enlightenment. It didn't try to make virtues out the obvious flaws in the characters. It was an All In The Family sort of presentation of modern life for the blue collar class.


None of the writers and few (perhaps only one) of the actors were trying to make statements in support of bigotry or intolerance. Quite the opposite.

Roseanne put her personal opinions out in front of the show's message, and (consider the show's title) they have become inextricably entangled, but they are not and never were the same thing.

Yeah. There are rumors the show will go on revamped and centered around Darlene, and personally I'd be happy if it did.

I loathe this form of infantile "argument", when a poster fills in blanks using their vivid imagination and leaps to presume the worst, without so much as a clarifying question.

Only when the family wants to play the persecuted, wronged, no one went after Chelsey Malia and Sasha card.

The rest of the time she's in Trump's cabinet and runs around cashing on her Daddy's position.

Ivanka made claims she would support families in that position which lack of said support is the issue specifically Bee was attacking.

Ivanka said she'd be a family advocate, get Daddy interested in providing better day care, etc. Instead she's said nothing at all about removing children from immigrants crossing the border yet posted a picture of herself adoring her precious daughter.

Also, Ivanka is a evil. The false outrage isn't convincing either, since those outraged about the "****" comment seem to have no problem with the government position of prosecuting/persecuting migrant children.
