I'd put Comey's rising to head the FBI as a far more meaningful achievement than Trump's being hoist to the Presidency. The former had to work for many years and demonstrate competence. The latter had but to hoodwink sufficient numbers of the electorate over a period of months.

Trump is an ongoing, unmitigated clusterfrack of monumental dimensions, yet his privileged position shields him--thus far--from the consequences that would have felled others (imagine Obama carrying on thus?), and certainly those in less exalted positions, long since.
