I guess it does. She's more well known for her design of the Consumer Protection board at the federal level, her membership in the TARP oversight board, and her strong general stance against financial industries that crash world economies - this is basically something of a specialty for her.

She's also known for her general disgust towards the behavior of Wells Fargo in particular - which they're earned through all sorts of nonsense behavior. :)

Oh, and for attempting to read Coretta Scott King's disdain for Jeff Sessions' atrocious civil rights record, until Mitch Mcconnell threw a hissy fit and had her silenced.

And for fun, here's an article about how Scott Brown's attempt at racial mudslinging blew up in his face. The entire "Pocahantes" thing is plainly steeped in ignorance, since...well, Pocahantes wasn't even Cherokee or Delaware, which are the tribes that Warren's family claim to have ancestry from. And of course, when you toss in tomahawk chops and "war whoops", you look like a college frat having a "pimps & Hoes" party - not such a good look for a US senate campaign.

Have you ever seen the police get a DNA sample and then release an ethnic profile of the person based on their DNA? Ever wondered why not if tests like 23&me are in any way reliable and accurate?

The topic of this thread is Elizabeth Warren's claimed ancestry, whether DNA testing is called for or even useful, how all this weighs on her integrity...stuff like that. "But, but, someone else it this worse thing" and sentiments of how much Trump is or should be hated are not that.

Stay with the former. Eschew the latter.

What I find interesting in this is the incredibly weird racism on display.

On the one hand, they delight in the opportunity to indulge in the racist nickname "Pocahontas", but then they turn around and try to claim she isn't even Native at all. So, they're going out of their way to use what is, to them, the incorrect racist epithet.

That's some truly convoluted "logic", there.

Are you claiming that "Pocahontas" isn't a racist nickname? Or are you claiming they'd be using it even if she had never claimed to be part native?

Just own it. Trump went for a racist joke at her expense, and the Trumpeteers have spent every day since then doubling down on his racism. There's nothing in that regarding "evolution of natural languages"; it's just a bunch of racist dicks indulging in their racism because they think they can finally get away with it again.

Agreed. His use of the word Pocahontas is not racist. He is not putting down anyone's race, just poking fun at her.
