I have complained for years about strengthening law enforcement in the name of law and order while weakening the fourth amendment in the name of patriotism. I have little doubt Mueller's investigation passes legal muster because muster is so low.

I take a little glee that the apparatus that has terrified millions of Americans is now pointed at the people who supported it and they are freaking out.
Not a real issue, but if you pull enough crap out of your arse and talk it up a whole lot, maybe you can get someone gullible to think it's one.

Wait? What isn't an issue? That the republican allegations that the investigation is unlawful? That is my point.

Not really Trump and *Russia*

But Flynn and Turkey

http://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...-to-whisk-away-cleric-wanted-by-turkey-report

Michael Flynn, President Trump’s former national security adviser, reportedly discussed ways to take a man wanted by the Turkish government out of the United States without going through the legal extradition process, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The conversation, which took place during the presidential race while Flynn was serving as an unpaid adviser to Trump, centered around Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen.

ETA: I'm not entirely sure how much credence to give to a proven liar's denials

Moron Trump continues to degrade the United States of America. Time to impeachment the moron before he causes further damage.

Claims that Russia is behind lots of obviously dodgy Trump sex tapes to distract from credible ones in possession of several Western intelligence agencies

http://observer.com/2017/11/spy-circles-suspect-kremlin-is-behind-dozens-of-fake-trump-sex-tapes/

As I’ve written about the Steele dossier, although a great deal of its raw intelligence has turned out to be true, large portions reek of disinformation— including the most salacious bits. As I explained:

The dossier’s “pee-pee tape” claim is viewed with derision by most Western spies who know the Russians. It’s very likely that the Kremlin possesses kompromat on the president—senior intelligence sources from several countries have confirmed to me that unpleasant videos of Trump exist—yet there’s no reason to believe Steele’s particular claim here, without corroborating evidence.

To sum up, the idea that President Trump has been caught on tape doing something sordid is inherently in the realm of the possible. But has he been? Here’s where things get tricky, fast. I’ve investigated this issue for the past couple years. I’ve talked to dozens of well-placed sources (many of them longtime spy-friends), and I can share with you some basic conclusions.

As many as a dozen intelligence services worldwide, on four continents, are in possession of some sort of “Trump tape” featuring sexual escapades of a controversial nature; in some cases, the women involved appear to be underage. Some of these tapes have been shared with the Mueller investigation.

One Western intelligence agency with a solid professional reputation is in possession of an unpleasant Trump tape that they assess “with high confidence” is bona fide, i.e. exactly what it appears to be. They obtained the tape from a trusted source who plausibly had access to it. Over the decades, Trump has traveled widely—including to Russia more than once—and thereby exposed himself to surreptitious filming in numerous countries.
However, here’s the rub: Many of the “Trump tapes” floating around in spy circles worldwide cannot be verified, while some of them are obvious fakes. The Western spy agency that’s holding a Trump tape they’re pretty sure is real has also been approached two other times with tapes that were less solid—and one of them was transparently fake.

So Trump says he asked about election meddling and Putin said he didn't do it...and Trump believes him. Okay the best case scenario here is that Trump is just that stupid. The worst case scenario is that Trump knows Putin is lying and just doesn't care and is stupid enough to think this puts the matter to rest.

Fascinating to see you lot sink deeper and deeper into what you used to oppose as "typical CT thinking". Just because you can't admit you were fooled again. Well, it will get impossible to ignore soon enough.

Uuuuh, now a joint statement by Trump and Putin. So much harmony about several key topics regarding Syria. De-escalation, joining forces against terrorism, etc. THAT'S TREASON!!!1

Why do we want better relations with Russia now? What has Russia done to fix the issues of their own creation? Has Russia announced a timetable for their withdraw from Crimea? Has Russia pulled it's troops out of Eastern Ukraine (and those are troops)? Has Russia pledged to cease its interference in Western elections? The thaw in our relations should be the reward for improved Russian behavior.

You're not in a position to make demands, certainly not before you accept reality and stop living in a propaganda world of your own making. It doesn't impress anybody and gets you nowhere.

as you are bringing up "typical CT thinking" I think it is worthwhile pointing out that Muller has indicted several people, and Papadopolous has plea bargained.

I don't think it is against the membership agreement to point out that this is unlike some of the conspiracy theories that you advocate - the easiest one being your somewhat nebulous ones about what happened in 9/11.
