Merged Remember the West Memphis 3?

Evidence?

Where did they get the dogs? Did anyone find any dead dogs? Anyone claiming they found dog blood (or any blood) on their clothing, etc? Any weapons used to slay dogs? Any trips to the ER for dog bites? Any history of rabies inoculation?

Ya know, killing a dog -just one dog- is a messy, nasty business, and it leaves evidence. To kill more than one is to get a whole bunch of people very interested, very quickly.

It is a fact Echols killed a black Great Dane. Baldwin is said to have inserted a knife into it's rectum and pulled out its intestines through the back passage.

They had an initation rite into their cult, where the new member had to eat meat from the thigh of a recently killed dog.

The crime is one by depraved degenerates.

You can express disbelief, but the fact is Echols believes in all this stuff and the murders did happen.

Strange, I know.

In The Commercial Appeal, a front page article, the day after the bodies had been found, was run saying that all three boys had been sexually mutilated by a sharp instrument. Arkansas police knew that was incorrect, but let it stand.

No. The Commercial Appeal said that at least one of them had been mutilated. The cops were talking about it on the radio the night before. I've told you this half a dozen times.

What urine? I've given you a link to all of crime lab reports, go and find one that shows that there was urine present in the boys stomachs, then we can discuss it as evidence of guilt.

Damien was a suspect before that interview took place anyway, that's why Jones and Sudbury visited him on May 7th.

No, he was not an official suspect until 10 May.

Police interviewed literally hundreds of people. Many were potential suspects.

Echols was named by several people who knew of his weird behaviour. When you have a bizarre crime, how is it wrong for police to be directed to the local weirdo?

Evidence?

Misskelley's discredited, coerced confession doesn't count.

It doesn't really matter anyway because we know Steve Jones told Damien that one of the boys' testicles was removed on May 7th.

You still need to provide evidence that there was urine in the boys stomachs or mouths. Until you do that, your credibility for claiming anything else about this case is zero.

Do you have any evidence the guys on the radio reported that only one boy was mutilated with a sharp instrument on the day of the murder?

Who makes things up?!

I hav given you a citation. If you prefer to believe a populist documentary produced by Echols' defence team, that is your prerogative.

If that's sufficient evidence, maybe you ought to have a 24 x 7 alibi.

You most certainly have not given a citation that urine was present. You've given one author's biased opinion, that's all.

I've given you a link to the documents from the Arkansas crime lab related to this case, so it should be easy for you to find evidence that urine was present. If indeed there's any truth to it, and not just a product of Steve Jones warped imagination.

You've been told that not even Gary Gitchell knew until informed by phone on 16 May.

You are gullible if you believe the nonsense 'Echols got his preknowledge information about the murders from a policeman'.

Police work on a need to know basis. A door to door cop would not know more about a crime than his boss.

You have not provided a primary source. I don't believe anything without a primary source, no matter who says it.

You don't want to know, or you could have sought out the information for yourself.

It so much more romantic to believe a rose-coloured documentary claiming 'Metallica-fan victimisation by the police' and sob over three poor innocents who did nothing more than commit hairstyle crime.

Steve Jones wasn't a police man, he was a juvenile probation officer. And he most certainly would have known that one of the boys had his testicles removed because he was present when the bodies were discovered, so he saw the injuries for himself.

Lt Sudbury was also present both times Damien was interviewed - if Damien had lied about the source of his knowledge, Sudbury would have known.

You believe Echols when he claims the the juvenile probation officer told him all about the crime.

It's nonsense.

Anyway, I thought you said it animals what done it.

Evidence? Do you have any idea how big a great dane is, and how vicious it could be if it was hurt like that? Who did the dog belong to? What did they do with the body?

I have a hard time believing it, because out here in my corner of the world people are occasionally forced to kill stray dogs, and it's not a pleasant chore. It's dangerous, it's messy, and no matter what the circumstances, it's upsetting to everyone involved.

Sorry, but I smell typical teenage philosophical ********.

Rolfe, what do you think?

That's not how it works. You make a claim, you find the evidence.

It so much more romantic to believe a rose-coloured documentary claiming 'Metallica-fan victimisation by the police' and sob over three poor innocents who did nothing more than commit hairstyle crime.

Is it? I wouldn't know.

I've no reason not to believe him because there was an eyewitness to the conversation between Echols and Jones who would have every reason to speak up if Damien had lied. And yet he didn't.

Now how are you doing with this evidence for urine in the boys stomachs? Found anything yet?

I keep hearing this allegation. I have no idea if there is any evidence that it is true. I agree it would have been a bigger undertaking than many people seem to imagine.

Vixen seems to take any wild rumour injected into the case by anyone at all and announce that it's fact.
