Brilliant Light Power Going To Market - Free Energy Generator

Nothing in anything either you, nor Mill's presentations have ever said come close to that bit at all.
If the device generates this much waste heat *I* could have had a prototype engine running on it in the time this thread has been active, and I am in no way claiming I am an engineer.
But again, there is excuse after excuse after excuse why a working engine is not there.

If Mill's would have a real product he could have done that and been swimming in money. But since his history shows he is nothing but a scammer he can't ever get to stage.

A few days ago Mills (on his forum) said that the first applications will probably involve steam.

Over 70 percent of the energy of the fuel is thrown away as waste heat.

Mills's reactors don't produce pressure from expanding gases like the combustion in an internal combustion engine does. Nor do they produce any chemical energy, like the energy in gasoline or diesel fuel. Nor do they generate electrical potential. All they produce is heat. Instead of a car's embarrassing 70%, you're starting with 100%.

Worrying about how much of that heat is wasted in order to convert some of it into useful energy doesn't make sense if the heat is coming from a clean exotic reaction that uses water as fuel. But it makes perfect sense if the heat is actually coming from expensive internal components of the reactor burning up.

So by all means, don't settle for mere useful steam power that's only suitable for boring uses like transportation, industry, and agriculture. Keep tweaking this thing until it can power tractor beams and photon torpedoes.

As I said, the first applications will probably be steam applications.

There's a LOT of wriggle room here, markie. Your "won't be for very long" can be up to 2 years and still leave you time to pull out before your drop-dead date.

How 'bout something more solid? "I [markie] will be posting and replying to posts through July 1, 2019". That gives you 4 months to accept our apologizes. :)

To clarify, after the 2 year date I don't see myself posting here for very long, whether the SunCell result is positive or negative. In the meantime, I can see myself posting only occasionally as time permits.

I see that twelve years ago, hydrino products "will have to be tested for environmental safety, and probably are already being investigated in this regard." Not many results coming out yet, are there?

Dave

Probably been busy investigating the environmental effects of unicorns and fairies.

Excellent. Steam engines exist, Mills has a machine that produces excess heat, so plug one into the other and then show that he can run a steam engine without external power on just water.
2 weeks work tops?
And then he's, if nothing else, created cheap, pollution free trains for the whole world.

AND a nobel prize in physics.

You'll forgive me if I don't hold my breath for anything actually concrete though, I don't seem to have the faith to keep believing in 'real soon' for 12+ years, but I do hope he will actually produce something, it would be such a benefit for all.

Why have you stuck by him for 12 years, but consider 14 the cut-off point?

Well, i'll say this.

markie - you are someone with an extraordinary amount of faith in Mills. You have long defended him against dozens of people who continually call you and the ideas Mills puts forth as foolish. If i ever have an idea, i'd want you as one of those who believed in me.

I have to admit - if responses to posts could be converted into energy, you'd have discovered an unlimited power source. A single post from you seems to everlastingly trigger a couple of dozen responses :)

To be honest, i am not anywhere close to being smart enough scientifically to know one way or the other.

The decades of delays - that's hard for me to get past. And i almost can't believe that if this had merit, it wouldn't have been stolen by either our government or a foreign government in the past 30 years. If it's real, it would be a game-changer beyond the telling of it. But i desperately, terribly, pleadingly, hope you are right, and my worries are wrong.

If you have Mills' ear, i really recommend you suggest that he open up to the scientific world. Let others validate his work and help him with engineering difficulties.

If he's actually right about what he says, this is probably the biggest scientific discovery of all time. Every day it would be delayed means many, many lives lost - and untold human suffering.

Not trying to be your enemy or call you out - just wanted to give a civil response to your valiant efforts and make a suggestion that you might be able to pass along.

All the best.

Thanks for the civil response. Yeah I do have faith in Mills.

But as a matter of record, I for one don't expect the SunCell or acceptance of Mill's theory to be a panacea for our civilization. Even given a clean energy source, one needs the infrastructure and technology to put it to helpful work. The areas of the world in most need are lacking in those very departments. And then there are those who will use *any* energy source for nefarious purposes.

I do hope however than in the next 20 years the CO2 emissions from industrialized nations will have dropped dramatically.

Then why haven't BLP already produced steam engines? Surely they'd be much easier to design and manufacture than the photovoltaic design they're currently pushing.

They haven't closed the dome yet, let alone enclosed it in a suitable vessel that can hold argon and (minimal) hydrogen gas, let alone have that vessel enclosed by a suitable heat exchanger. Lots of work to do still.

But that is not what you were asked

So why the evasion? If this marvy invention makes lot of heat a steam engine would be a simple solution.

... or they followed the link from their discussion group here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/SocietyforClassicalPhysics/conversations/messages/11929

I think this is probably the source of a lot of markie's "inside" information, too.

Mr. Mills seems to post to this group regularly. It might be a good way to ask some of the questions raised here.

Yes. I believe I have already mentioned here that Mills occasionally posts to his Yahoo discussion group, which is also where I found out about this ISF thread.

Markie has been at it for the last 12 years at least.

I am sure one could find out who it is, but I think it might be against the TOS to spread the info, even in PM.

Good find! I can confirm that is me. The scary thing is, i would not have remembered that if you had not found it. Funny that I called myself Markie even back then. Mark and Marcus were taken no doubt.

So, markie's been peddling this for at least 12 years, but claims that he will admit that there's nothing to it if no working products have emerged in 2 years. I wonder why 14 is the cut-off point.

To clarify, even if there is no working product in 2 years, I won't say "there's nothing to it". It will certainly prove me wrong in my timeline, and it will give me good reason to reassess my beliefs, but it's not like it will activate a belief kill switch.

It's the trajectory of progress in the last three years. Three years ago Mills found a method to produce a hydrino reaction that wasn't self quenched and was power dense. Since then he has made incredible progress, from his metal hydrate pellet popper/sparker to now, with his controlled molten silver electrode steams.

He has in the past claimed to be months from production. How can you still trust him after he has lied / been wrong so many times?

It seems that short of a signed confession from Mills that this has all been a scam, nothing can dis-suede (see what I did there?) Markie from his belief in this crackpottery. After all, we are 12 years on from the forum that was linked above, and we still have seen Jack **** from Mills, other than unverified claims, which have been questioned within the saner scientific literature.
Electric Suns and electric comets come to mind. More a faith based belief than a belief based on evidential and sensible science. I think we all know where this will end.

Mills will repeat his cycle of always finding one more problem just before going into production until he dies of old age. After that someone else will take up the torch and keep the hope going, either by literally taking over the company or by exploiting the fact that the patents are, by and large, invalid.

Markie will die believing a Hydrino breakthrough is "just around the corner."

I was thinking (probably optimistically) that the end will come when investors finally see through his nonsense, and the money dries up. We will then have something along the lines of:

"The closed-minded science community has succeeded in attacking and burying this idea, which shakes the very foundation of their beliefs, to the extent that the greatest invention known to mankind cannot be brought to fruition. The quantumists have won through foul means."

The above is an excerpt from Mills suicide note, after he deliberately exposes himself to the vast amounts of X-ray and FUV that his hydrinos would produce.

... Lots of work to do still.

Alright then: why was there so much talk about the photovoltaic design if the steam engine design is the one that's going to be done first? Why did Mills put any effort at all into the photovoltaic design when there's still so much to be done with the basics?

They haven't closed the dome yet,

Regarding the dome: the dome that was being discussed so far (for the photovoltaic design) was a graphite dome which was intended to maximize the output of visible light. For use in a steam engine, visible light output would be unimportant, so you could use some substance easier to do manufacturing with than graphite. So why waste time with designing a graphite dome if the first devices are going to be steam engines?

And about "closing the dome": is the problems with doing that a manufacturing issue, or an issues with needing to have a hole through which stuff can go in and out of the dome? If it's a manufacturing issue, wouldn't it become a lot less of a problem when they don't have to make the dome out of graphite? Or if it's the issues of needing a hole, can't they just put stick the end of a pipe against the hole and seal the whole against the pipe?
