You didn't answer the question. Do you just give lip service to this activity or do you participate when given a chance. That's not so hard to answer.

I put my money where my mouth is. I've committed acts of civil disobedience, knowing they were illegal and knowing that there was always an excellent chance of getting beaten up or taken to jail. I didn't just cheer on the demonstrators from a safe perch behind a computer or typewriter. I got busted and I also got busted up.

How about you? Are you actually a dedicated revolutionary, or just some guy being edgy on the internet.

The word I used was "cratered", not "created". Meaning it was an interesting discussion until someone decided to Buddy Holly it into the ground in the name of waving his edgelord flag.

Neo Nazi's and the KKK have been beaten up several times recently. Quite badly.
They haven't retaliated yet, but they will eventually start to organise violent groups. It is not a good development.

If they set up self defence groups, these could morph into something more offensive over time. Organisations are organisms that don't just die, they evolve.

EDIT: The only reason I even know about the existence of a (tiny) active KKK and American Nazi's is because people showed up to beat them up.

The tactic is counter productive on several levels.

What if anti-abortion zealots decide that it's righteous to exact vigilante justice on workers at an abortion clinic? Or what if someone decides that people who advocate vigilante justice deserve vigilante justice of their own? And this person punches you out?

It seems nobody wants to address the anti-abortion example, fuelair's incoherent reply notwithstanding. Are you people missing a self-awareness gene or something?

The world, and the constitution in particular, doesn't revolve around your special snowflake feelings of self-righteousness.

This type of fanatical anti freedom of expression view point really has no place in any democracy, and the fact that so called liberals want to gut the first amendment is frightening.

Anarchists and communists have no place in our democracy.

So, in a scenario where Anarchists would hold non-violent demos (hypothetical, I know), would you support Neo-Nazi's showing up and beating them to a bloody pulp?

If not, why not?

The government has not put him in jail for his views, so it doesn't apply.

His personal physical security was violated.

But again, someone who advocates for assault and murder of others doesn't get to invoke a right to personal physical security.

In terms of legalities, sure. The 1st is involved however, in that the vigilantes (and posters) don't recognize his free speech rights.

If that is true it's a matter for the police, and we still must presume Spencer innocent until proven guilty of any crimes. But, as so often applies to liberals, rule of law for thee and not for me.
