2016 Presidential Debate II

Van Jones says it's fine Trump didn't bomb because if he had, there'd be more of a risk the GOP could nudge him out. That would throw a wild card into the game. As it is now, Trumps simply repeated his stump speech, stuff that's been discredited again and again, making his base happy but assuring Clinton will maintain her lead.

Trump landed more zingers, so in the end that's probably what will count; however, he still didn't answer a single question worth a damn.

Agreed. He was more effective at attacking Hillary, but he looked ridiculous veering off onto irrelevant tangents. "It was locker room talk, and I'm going to defeat ISIS."

Yes, I would have expected the next President to be more classy.
I know it's difficult to find an honest compliment for the Donald. Perhaps that he can be entertaining - or has brought a fresh wind into the GOP with his unorthodox views.

The subject must also deserve a classy answer. Minutes before that, he had said he wanted her thrown in jail. He's also called on her supporters to kill her (in a nudge-nudge wink-wink way).

Martha Raddatz clearly wanted to get out of her chair and throttle him because he was getting basic facts and concepts wrong while lying uncontrollably.

Quick - Change the Channel to Fox

Kellyanne's coming on to do major spin. But more important, so's Katrina the Psycho.

I've got five bucks that says Katrina thinks his best moment was when he said he'd put her in jail.

Yeah, on nearly every question he drifted off into something irrelevant. The moderators could have stepped in there more sternly, and reminded him to actually answer the question.

Another time was when he was asked what he'd do about Aleppo, and he started talking about nuclear weapons. At least he pronounces "nuclear" correctly.

A couple times they did, to laughter, but because trump didnt start jumping around and dropping f-bombs he effectively won... and as stated earlier, I was less entertained than I hoped to be

I know how she feels. Trump just runs his mouth and to the uninformed and poorly educated it may sound intelligent. But what it really is is a ramble of nonsensical bs. It's so clear to anyone with a brain that he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

Do people think that Hillary should have made up some BS compliment for Donald to be classy? What a joke.

I think Trump was prepared for the happy/classy end. And since he has no beliefs other than republican mantra, I think he could even be made to support democrat agenda, if he had not come up with the crazy plan to be president. They would be happy to take his money for a democrat cause. But he had to be anti-Buffet. Just because.

Trumpette Kayleigh on CNN denying Trump said, were he POTUS he'd lock her up: "I know the media doesn't get satire."

Donald didn't just threaten to prosecute HRC. He said she doesn't want him to win "because you will be in jail." It was not a joke.

I think the difference is that she hadn't prepped for that question and either he had or he was just quicker on his feet. This is Deal-Making 101 - you brutalize the other party in the negotiations, no holds barred and then after you've cut their 'nads off, you tell them how wonderful the donuts were in the conference room and what great negotiators they were and how much you're going to enjoy working with them.

Hillary's supporters are not Trump's supporters. They would have gasped if she'd been honest and said, "No, to be frank, there's not a damn thing about him I admire." If she has Trump's supporters they'd be high-fiving and chest-bumping. "Woooooo! She got him!"
