Trump runs for POTUS / Trumped Up! Part V

Failure to comply with hole length for an insurance policy and then attempting to cover it up.
Essentially, he deceived the players, attempted to deceive the insurance company that would pay out, and then eventually paid a personal settlement with money out of his charitable foundation because the insurance company wasn't going to pay out.

All because they (meaning Trump and/or the people around him) wanted someone to hit the hole-in-one (because it's exciting) and "knew" that the insurance company was on the hook and surely they wouldn't send out an investigator to verify the claim because insurance companies love handing out cash.

In other words, it's fraud with an extra dollop of stealing funds from a charity. Fun! And I'll bet a halfway decent prosecutor could find a felony in there...

One thing I somehow failed to mentioned in my most recent post is that, supposedly, Trump is not just a billionaire but a multi-billionaire. Doesn't that make it even worse that 1) he can't come through with a promised million-dollar prize and 2) he feels the need to steal from a charitable foundation to pay settlements of far, far less than a million dollars?

Gosh, one might suspect that he doesn't really have the money he claims he does...and that he's evil.

Why do you think he has so much money? Because he just spends everyone else's

This reluctance of Trump to let a dollar go, even when he owes it for work done, suggests insecurity to me. A lifelong fear that he'll be found out and have it all taken away some day. He'll spend money to puff himself up but he'll still bend down to pick up a penny. He probably cuts coupons.

Is it wrong or whatever word you wish to substitute? I assure you this is no straw man. As the discussion has gone further, my concern has really narrowed on the concept of divergence between what we perceived as acceptable from a lower ranking agent and from the president who is the top leader of the agency.

Narrow your concern as much as you you like. My point was never about what a cop, or the president, should be allowed to say. Trump's fans are fine with "guilty until proven innocent," so he can't go wrong there.

I wasn't even thinking about Trump when I asked.

Does it all Ave to be immediately about Trump? Aren't issues raised during Trump discussion also covered here?
Not when you've repeatedly used phrases that come down to "I'm not talking about Trump." He is what this thread is about and you have derailed it more than once, apparently for your own ***** and giggles. At least the Hillary haters have the excuse that we're talking about an election in a two-party system.

Perhaps not, but this is a Trump thread, innit?

I come from a tradition probably now considered quaint. For some period of time in daily print media (aka newspapers) it was considered unprofessional and perilous to convict somebody in print.

Also, if we were quoting a presidential candidate on the issue, we would attempt to get a comment from the other leading candidate.

I think what you are getting at is this: Since the president is prosecutor in chief, he's "allowed" to say what any beat cop might say. That's fine. It might not be wise or prudent or even accurate, but he's free to say it.

Ah...
So insurance says 150 yards, and Trump cheated
It was much smaller than he kept saying it was, which led to people scoring with him more than they'd expect. But when the bill for the scoring came due and he expected other people to pay for it, it brought undue scrutiny onto the size of his drive, resulting in a hasty and botched surgery to lengthen it to average standards, but it didn't fool anyone because the scars were plainly visible. So the other people still refused to pay for his scoring, and he damn sure wasn't going to do it himself, so he used the money that a different group of people had entrusted him with to do what, presumably, didn't involve his dick even metaphorically.

It is more like statement by a beat cop that we agree doesn't prejudice the jury pool does not gain power to prejudice the jury pool when the president says it.

Trump's statement does not apply, but if it was toned down it might.

Was that at White Kid University?

Oh, wait, that's not fair.... High Point U is ranked number 1925 (of 2665) in the diversity rankings.

ETA: I'm twenty minutes into his speech at High Point and he's gone past his appeal to black people.... "What have you got to lose?", but I didn't hear the line in question. He was scheduled to speak elsewhere, and maybe he said it there. Down further towards the coast in a much more diverse district, so maybe he looked out and saw a black face in the crowd and winged it. At High Point he pretty much stayed on script. So much so, that they were bored. Bunch of white college kids who were there for his Greatest Hits package. "Black people? Ho hum, yeah okay give him a little applause I guess."
