Nope, Rick Perry was on CNN just now acting as a Trump apologist. I posted this in the Trump thread but it applies to your comment:

Rick Perry doesn't get what was wrong with Trump's attack on the Khans. He is saying on CNN they used their son's death to criticize Trump.

No Mr Perry, they used their son's death to point out Trump's vile public utterances trashing Muslims caused them and many others pain they did not deserve and did a horrible disservice to the sacrifices of many Muslim soldiers that died or were maimed fighting with US troops in Iraq.

Sadly, Jake Tapper didn't point this out to him. I hope CNN gets letters, lots of them.

On the one hand, I'm guessing most natural born citizens would lose that challenge. On the other hand, most natural born citizens aren't in the running to be President.

I'd bet Clinton could pass it, easily.

Republicans think Government is evil, so why would it be a requirement to know how it works to be elected as a Republican?

Not really. The question is Khan Trump's turning point? Some of us believe that the real turning point was Trump's donations to NAMBLA. The stories are out there. It's been reported for years that Trump like his mentor Roy Cohn is wild about boys. So I've heard.

Wonder if Trump will take him up on it and if so, just how badly will he fail?

One of the questions is something like: There have been four Constitutional Amendments related to voting. Describe any two.

They are not looking for the exact wording of the amendment, they are not looking for the numbers of those amendments, and the answer doesn't even have to be a complete sentence.

I cannot imagine how dumbstruck I would be if Trump got that question right

Oh my God, think about how awesome it would be if that were one of the debate questions. I don't know if I would laugh harder at Trump or at his defenders asserting that one can still be a good president without knowing the history of voting rights as well as immigrants do.
