As I stated elsewhere,if nothing else it means the GOP has to expend major resources in those states that they were planning on spending in the usual purple states like FLorida and Ohio. The Dems don't have to do that;they just have to spend enough to keep them competivie and keep GOP resources diverted from the traditional swing states.

You're right. Best not be complacent. I will try to get as many people to vote as I can whether it is getting them to put the mail in ballot in the mail box or personally driving them. I really want Donald to lose Arizona and take John McCain down with him.

They fix elections in AZ? Nothing surprises me these days. That stuff happens a lot in Ohio. Where Democratic precincts never have enough machines and it can take hours to vote. And in suburban Republican precincts, one can usually vote without waiting at all.

They did close up a bunch of polling locations though they do have voting by mail which I think most people do.

I won't say there is no such thing as garbage Democrats but Republicans on the whole are a lot worse.

As I said, nothing surprises me. AZ was never that competitive for them to care enough to cheat.

Problem is, if something like that happened, the rumor mill would be going 24/7 with Alex Jones leading the pack (to mix metaphors). In such a chaotic media environment, it's hard to predict who the winners and losers would be.

... which isn't a good thing. A lot of the popularity of these new populist blowhards (Trump and his European counterparts) is due to bitter losers wanting to scramble the "system", on the premise that it's only those other people who have something to lose.

I think that's essentially correct. Trump especially seems to think everything is a zero-sum game.
 
Reactionaries tend to view things as a zero sum game. Look at Christians who think if gays get rights heterosexuals must lose theirs.

They're not wrong really. It probably means they'll have to stop being homophobes. And they have a lot invested in that.
