Trumps inability to recognize reality will likely be his undoing.
Or, perhaps, his inability to adjust to new situations. He appears to be locked into a salesman/businessman role when a statesman is needed.

And with more real hair too.My cat's rear end is more presidential than the candidate.....
This is certainly the received wisdom but I question it. The parents certainly suffered a horrible loss that they will never forget. But what did they sacrifice? Their son made the decision to put himself in harms way. After he was over 18 he was on his own. So the son made the ultimate sacrifice, no doubt. But, honestly, I fail to see the parents sacrificed. Remember, a loss, however horrible, is not the same as a sacrifice.
"alienating so many Republicans"?I wonder why this Khan thing is alienating so many Republicans when Republicans did the same thing to Cindy Sheehan.
That's so bogus. God gave up himself for a weekend because he designed the world so that that would be necessary. That's one of the core inanities of Christianity.God so loved the world so he gave his only begotten son.
Good parents, like the Khans, raise their kids to be mature, responsible and thinking persons so that they (the kids) can go out on their own when they reach adulthood. The Khans did that. That's my whole point. Their son was off on his own - they had nothing to give up. Again, don't conflate loss with sacrifice.the act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get or do something else or to help someone.
Which is what the kid did, not the parents.destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else

Silly me, I thought the idea was to broaden not narrow ones appeal.
You don't suffer loss if your grownup child is killed? The Khans were "good parents". If they had been "bad parents", would they have made a sacrifice? That's so bogus. God gave up himself for a weekend because he designed the world so that that would be necessary. That's one of the core inanities of Christianity.

The comments in there were pretty awesome. It seemed even the GOPers were saddened or disgusted by Hannity.
Let's keep this feud going with a patriotic gold star family by continuing to slander them is unappealing to everyone that doesn't have a diseased mind.
To be fair (and to give credit where it's due), the Democratic Party picked him as bait/target. They trolled Donald and got a reaction better than that for which they could have hoped.Khizr Khan is live in MSNBC right now.
It is possible that he is the greatest hero in US history for preventing Donald from becoming President. I am not being hyperbolic.
He says there is no room for Sharia law in the US because of the Constitution.
I really like this guy. Donald couldn't have picked a more sympathetic target. What a complete dumbass.
Yeah but him being so easy to manipulate is one of the many reasons he shouldn't be President. To be fair (and to give credit where it's due), the Democratic Party picked him as bait/target. They trolled Donald and got a reaction better than that for which they could have hoped.
For goodness sake for whatever reasons society does consider the Khan's loss a sacrifice. Therefore trying to argue it isn't is missing the entire point I. E. By *definition* it is considered a sacrifice.
