This begs the question, is it even possible to array a more superficial list of criticisms?
It could include pantsuits, I suppose.

Ok, maybe "despise" is a bit harsh but "don't like her very much", is not a stretch. I have always had an dislike for phony people and she just doesn't strike me as genuine at all.

Apparently you have the ability to discern "genuine people" from "fake people"solely by watching them on television.

Do you any reasons to dislike her based on her actions, i.e. policies/things she did, as a Senator and Secretary of State.I do have a fairly astute sense of character, I have been observing and interacting with people all my life.
Superficial or not, those are things that make me dislike her, because they point to her being a phony person. Which begs the question, who is she really?

um, okay. This is the politics forum at ISF. What on earth was a thinkingI should point out that I am Canadian and know little about the policies that were passed while she was on the job. My opinion is based on the various television appearances she has made throughout the years. That being said, just because she helped pass some beneficial policies, doesn't mean I have to like her as a person.
Margaret Thatcher
Angela Merkel
Indira Gandhi
Golda Meier
et al
Like them, she's a woman who is determined to leave her mark on the world.
It's part of a reasonably new phenomenon where people enter politics not to do anything, but to feel the power. Winning for winning's sake. In that regard, she's identical to Trump.

Do you believe you actually know her as a person ?
No of course not, beneath everything she might betruly evila nice person.
As if we needed more proof of the effectiveness of the Republican slime machine. So she's not genuine and a phony, and you dislike her for that. But you also admit you don't know her as a person.

I agree, it seems to me like the whole reason she wants to be president, is to be the first female president.
FTFYYou suspectshe's not genuine and a phony, and you dislike her for that. But you also admit you don't know her as a person.

I'm sure that is partly true. She wants to prove it can be done and done by her.
But it's not as if she's some Johnny come lately. She's been working for this moment since the 60s. This is her chosen profession and it has been for 45 years. The woman campaigned for Barry Goldwater, majored in political science, became a lwayer, worked on Gerald Ford's staff, wrote scholarly articles about children and the law. She's the only first lady to have not only an office in the East Wing, but in the West Wing. No First lady with maybe the exception of Eleanor Roosevelt has ever been as involved in policy making. She's been a Senator and Secretary of State.
Whether or not she would make a good President is yet to be known. But NO ONE can say the job was just given to her. No one in history has ever been so prepared to assume that heavy responsibility.
We have one member here who believes she is the daughter of Adolph Hitler. I wish I was making that up.
Or Mrs Woodrow Wilson after he had a stroke.Don't forget Nancy Reagan during Ronnie's senile years.
