Bullish on Bernie: The Bernie Sanders 2016 Thread II

What an incredibly stupid straw man.

It clearly wasn't the existence of criticisms that is the problem, it's their nature as they contain 'insane' CT. Not all criticisms are equally valid, and not all criticisms are even close to valid at all.

Did you think that people would honestly take your straw man as what was actually said, or is this one of those 'lie enough and people believe it' sort of things?
Go easy on 16.5, it's tough being the Big Dog. :) Woof, woof, rule of Oh Dear, etc.

Gary Johnsom supporters and people from a movement called Socialist Alternative have been coming onto the Bernie Sanders Facebook pages in order to woo his supporters.

Jill Stein is also openly courting Sanders supporters.

It seems to me that some of his most devoted followers really had no idea what it is he stood for other than, "Screw the establishment!"

You cannot blame Stein and Johnson for trying.

Interested to see how the data shake out.

I suggest the same might apply to a number of Trump Supporters.

I think it is impossible to predict what a Trump Presidency would be like. His rhetoric and temperament are not good.

Agreed, but Hillary Clinton is a horrid bitch on wheels. Maybe the median voter wants a truly execrable person in the White House.

Oh and I'm a little late to the party because I've been busy the past few days but I want to take this opportunity to say a big

HAHA!

about everyone who got a Bernie tattoo before he sold out.

Calm down. Hillary eventually supported Obama and Bernie is supporting Hillary. Bernie got some really progressive planks put into the Democrat Platform. So what what if he was an old man who held onto his movement for a couple weeks longer that he should have. He did the right thing, by endorsing Clinton, and so I think we have to look at Sander's influence into pushing the DNC as far left as it is. Good Job Bernie!

Well I don't think I would be mistaken if a lot of the people who got Bernie tattoos were the same sort of people who were all in Bernie Sanders Dank Meme Stash (at least before the owner started selling the fanbase out and the page disappeared lmao) talking about how they'd NEVER vote for HRC and indeed there was a substantial meltdown over his endorsement:

I wonder what a lot of these ***** who got a Bernie tattoo are thinking right now loooool

^ A mixture of these claims being true still indicates a terrible person which is what HRC is.

The appropriate word is "claims". Personally, I think it says more about the people makking them.

Still, she is a "far far better man than I or you.
And even more so than the tiny fingered man
With the big mouth
And the fake orange hairdo.

And as time unfolds, the story will be told
of the racist, sexist shill
getting his ass kicked
by a woman named "Hill".

Yes, claims, claims in this instance vetted by the fact-checking website snopes.com, which I consider fairly neutral although some have accused it of left-wing bias. They are certainly not right-wing. Whatever the case may be there is little reason to think they treated Clinton unfairly.

Both HRC and Trump are nasty people beholden to plutocratic interests. Let's don't pretend they're radically different.

I advise anyone curious to actually read the article linked to, because it doesn't do as this poster claims. That's his or her own assessment laid over top of the article. It does show that she's a human who as in the last sixty years sometimes gotten angry and used curse words, which just makes her human.

This poster has a very low regard for humans in general though, so 'nasty' in that regard is rather meaningless.

"Bernie Sanders endorsing Crooked Hillary Clinton is like Occupy Wall Street endorsing Goldman Sachs."

Nothing wrong with that per se. The bigger issue is how they're being used and in what context. And of course the biggest issue, even bigger than all of that, is that a HRC administration would likely cater to "the 1%" about as much as a Trump administration would. They're not that different.
