Personally, I'm pretty much where I want to be (given existing circumstances), today.

With regard to national political preferences, all I can really say at this time, is that to my understandings and life experiences, more of the same from both major political parties is not a path that will lead us toward where I think our nation must resolutely head to avoid inevitable social, economic, and environmental collapse.

Bernie Sanders supporters rally, plan to march

The Democratic National Convention got underway Monday in Philadelphia with much bigger demonstrations than the Republican convention.

The demonstrations, largely driven by Sanders supporters, have been peaceful so far.

On Sunday, thousands of people marched along a main thoroughfare of the city to show their support for Sanders and their disdain for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

They chanted: "Hell no, DNC, we won't vote for Hillary."

This "lesser of two evils" theory is wrong for me. I know how much power the independent vote is, especially if we go third party.

The banks, the MIC, the establishment insiders tell us we have to vote for the democratic nominee because that is the lesser evil compared to the republican candidate even though the democrat is pro-war, pro-bank, pro-Saudi Wahhabi, etc.

No, I go third party to prove you must heed my demands or I ensure you lose. It's what Ross Perot did to George Bush. He got about 19% of the vote, and that is why Clinton became president.

Why exactly are you labeling her "pro-war"?

Yes, she did vote for military action in Iraq, but she openly admits that her decision was wrong. And yes, she has supported military action against ISIS, but then so has Sanders (as well as bombing campaigns in Serbia). The world is a complex place, and sometimes military force may be the best alternative of a group of bad alternatives. Recognizing that should not make someone be considered 'pro-war'.

For someone who is "pro-bank", she says she will:
- Ensure existing regulations (the Frank-Dodd act) are kept in place
- Add a 'risk-fee' for banks engaging in certain risky transactions
- Act to put limits on payment in the banking industry
Doesn't exactly sound like an "anything goes" banking fan.

The main difference between her and Sanders seems to be that Sanders is insistent on breaking up the banks, whereas Hillary will only break them up if there is a risk. Given the fact that other countries manage to survive quite well using large (but well regulated) banks, Sanders plan isn't necessarily any better than Clinton's.

What exactly is your claim here?

Yes, there may be payments between various Saudi groups and the Clinton's charities, but can you point to any policies she has that are specifically "pro-Saudi Wahhabi"? Or is this some sort of vague "because the Clintons used Saudi money to fight AIDS and other global problems so we automatically think they are bad"?

Oh, and for a politician who is supposedly pro-Saudi, she certainly has no problem suggesting they may be supporting terrorists.

The difference here is that, while Clinton and Bush were running for different parties and had different policies and platforms, both were relatively sane and coherent. Trump is so bizarre, and his ideas are so horrible, that they could possible run America (and the rest of the world) to ruin.

You are just as correct in this as you are in your opinion that Stein has a chance to win the presidency. For examples that you will ignore, see Karl Rove and Trump supporting and promoting Sanders during the primary. Also, see long time conservative posters like 16.5 and theprestige claiming to be Sanders supporters.

Stein has as much chance of winning the Presidency as China's basketball team had of beating the US Dream Team in Basketball the other day at the Staples Center this last weekend. (actually less) Final USA 106 CHINA 57

Westchester County voter Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decided to check on the status of her voter registration last month, after hearing about problems in Arizona’s primary. She was dismayed to discover that, despite being a registered Democrat since 2008, her party affiliation had been changed to unaffiliated...

Ocasio-Cortez was later told by her local Board of Elections that her party affiliation was changed during Hurricane Sandy. The devastating storm hit right before Election Day 2012, and in an emergency measure, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) allowed New York residents to vote at any precinct via affidavit ballot. Ocasio-Cortez was stuck in New York City for the storm, so she voted there instead of in Westchester.

“Apparently when I signed that affidavit my party affiliation was waived,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “I had no idea I was losing my party status when I did that… Had I known this was the case I would have fixed this ages ago.”

And now Ocasio-Cortez has just defeated incumbent Joe Crowley to become the Congressional candidate.

NPR: New York Cancels Primary Election, Angering Sanders [and his] Supporters Title fixed.

tate election officials effectively canceled the presidential primary by removing every Democrat except the presumptive nominee, former Vice President Joe Biden, from the primary ballot.

According to multiple reports, Douglas Kellner, co-chair of the New York State Board of Elections, received thousands of emails from supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders pushing for the primary to continue as planned.

"What the Sanders campaign wanted is essentially a beauty contest that, given the situation with the public health emergency, seems to be unnecessary and, indeed, frivolous," Kellner told The New York Times.

That's about right.

Because you know, they should have figured out a way to risk people's lives so Bernie could continue to build up his delegate count. What says he supports Biden more than refusing to let go of his campaign? He's not going to have his socialist revolution by prancing around the Democratic Convention waiving his delegate count in people's faces.

We get it Bernie, you have followers. The Democrats need to, and hopefully will consider that. You don't need delegates. This is not normal times. Getting rid of Trump is more important than Sanders' delegates.

Or maybe he's hoping Biden will croak and he can claim the title because he's in second place.


Then on top of it, Amy Goodman, Democracy Now, who I usually have tremendous respect for, made the ludicrous claim that if we are afraid of Trump canceling the Nov election, NY just gave him the model on how to do it.

NY Cancels Primary After Removing Bernie Sanders from the Ballot

A law signed earlier this year by Governor Andrew Cuomo gave the New York State Board of Elections the power to remove candidates who have suspended their campaigns from the ballot. Senior Sanders adviser Jeff Weaver said, “Just last week Vice President Biden warned the American people that President Trump could use the current crisis as an excuse to postpone the November election. Well, he now has a precedent thanks to New York state.” Primaries will still be held in New York for other races on June 23, but turnout is expected to be much lower.

No Amy, the Democratic Party canceling their primary doesn't have jack to do with Trump canceling a federal election.
