Here is a link to the emails regarding the email issues.

Please back up your "recollections" with some facts.

Look to p. 38 of the OIG report (my emphasis added):

In November 2010, Secretary Clinton and her Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations discussed the fact that Secretary Clinton’s emails to Department employees were not being received. The Deputy Chief of Staff emailed the Secretary that “we should talk about putting you on state email or releasing your email address to the department so you are not going to spam.” In response, the Secretary wrote, “Let’s get separate address or device but I don’t want any risk of the personal being accessible.”

So, for some reason, Hillary did not want her email address to be released to the State Department IT group. Not sure why, and perhaps she didn't know either. People there obviously knew she was using an outside email server (although they might not have know it was physically located in her house in Chappaqua, with no remote backup whatsoever). But for whatever reason, Hillary nixed the idea, and so the IT people had to find a workaround, which became a bit of a continuing headache as you can see from emails in 2012.

I don't read it as IT group.

Clearly she didn't want her email address released to everyone in the State Department. You know, the people she was sending emails to. Seems obvious to me in context, anyway.

Yes. But I don't think that really backs up your claim:
IIRC, the IT team was told to try to allow Hillary's emails through without "whitelisting" her domain. For some reason, her staff didn't want official State Department acknowledgement of her server. I'm not sure why the distinction mattered, but that was the issue.

Thanks for responding, though. I do appreciate it.

So it seems that Hillary was not frogmarched off to jail by the FBI today. Not to fret, there is always tomorrow!

LOL.

Yeah, using your constitutional rights makes one such a loser.

I made the mistake of actually reading a whole lot of it. It was painful.

"When did you start working for the State Department?"
"FIFTH!"
"Have you ever seen a computer before?"
"FIFTH!"
"To the best of your knowledge, are you currently alive?"
"FIFTH!"

It's embarrassing.

EDIT: To be clear, I don't know exactly where to put the blame for the absurd sham in that transcript, but SOMEONE involved is most certainly a loser.

Clinton was having issues with emails from her private server not always reaching state department recipients so they turned off security features on the state department systems. :eye-poppi

By the way these e-mails, which should have been turned over by Clinton, weren't. They got these from Abedin.

Which means that these are yet more work related e-mails that were deleted instead of being turned over like they should have been and once again they refer to security concerns.

Probably coincidence

You too....

You should alert the Chicago tribune ... last month.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...ct-hillary-clinton-emails-20160526-story.html

The existence of these previously unreleased messages — which appear to have been found among electronic files of four former top Clinton State Department aides — renews concerns that Clinton was not completely forthcoming when she turned over a trove of 55,000 pages of work-related emails. And it has drawn fresh criticism from presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The AP is reporting this as if it's a new development:

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former Secretary Hillary Clinton failed to turn over a copy of a key message involving problems caused by her use of a private homebrew email server, the State Department confirmed Thursday."

Well... it's not as if The_Animus didn't already post a link when the AP reported this last month:

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was supposed to have turned over all work-related emails to the State Department to be released to the public. But an agency audit found at least three emails never seen before - including Clinton's own explanation of why she wanted her emails kept private.

After 14 months of public scrutiny and skepticism over Clinton's motives in keeping her emails secret, new questions emerged Thursday. They centered on her apparent failure to turn over a November 2010 message in which she worried that her personal messages could become accessible to outsiders, along with two other messages a year later that divulged possible security weaknesses in the home email system she used while secretary of state.

The Clinton campaign has previously denied that her home server was breached, but newly revealed emails show an aide worried it could have been compromised.

Isn't it funny that the newly found e-mails that weren't turned over raise concerns about her actions and the security of her server. I love when coincidence and motive seem to be able to work so well with one another.

or by me before that as well:

Here are five important takeaways from the report:

Clinton Emails We Haven’t Seen

Another major revelation from this report is that the State Department has an undisclosed number of emails in its possession that weren’t released to the public....

Of course it is a new development, the actual emails mentioned in last month's IG report were released just earlier this week.

Anyone suggesting that this is "old news" is pulling a deliberate snow job because it is absolutely clear that these documents were not part of the Clinton release and as I pointed out earlier dozens of others were released that day.

Any Shillary claiming otherwise is telling a transparent tall tale designed solely to derail people's attention from the facts.

Although THAT is OLD NEWS! :D

And this one is the biggest lie of all.

Ordinarily one would expect that you would back that up with something, anything, but I doubt that there is anyone who believes that will happen.

Everything she has said about this has been proven false

And this one is the biggest lie of all.

What defense hasn't turned out to be a lie?

She said she had permission. She didn't. She said she followed the rules. She didn't. She said none of the emails were classified. They were. She said none of the emails were marked as classified. They were. She said that she turned over all work-related emails. She didn't.

It's turtles on top of turtles all the way down, but the turtles are lies.

Nevertheless we should presume what she says to be true until proven otherwise, most importantly those 30,000 deleted emails. There can't possibly be anything suspicious in there. She said they were personal so therefore they are...

If life were as simple as you suggest, binary, either or .

How about not proclaiming anything on which we don't know. Give it a try.

Reading minds hasn't worked out well for some other key Republicans here. That's your turtle.

I knew this right wing echo chamber bull-crap would come up.

Believe distorted news much?

Looking for a news source that wasn't either right wing or parroting the right wing source I found this from ABC:
State Department Disabled Security Features Blocking Clinton's Private Email briefly while troubleshooting!
State Department spokesman John Kirby said that "technicians implemented a series of troubleshooting measures to the department’s system," adding that the adjustments mentioned in the emails are not uncommon and that the department has multiple layers of email security protections.

"To be clear — spam filters were not permanently turned off as this was merely a troubleshooting exercise," Kirby said in a statement to ABC News. “The department has several tools to block spam, only one of which was involved in this troubleshooting exercise.”
So, not surprisingly, the right wing source has distorted the actual event, which was a temporary trouble shooting procedure, and not a dismantling of security as the article implies.

Nothing to see here... move along.

The way someone took a stupid communication with someone from IT asking how to get a Clinton email not to land in the spam folder and turned it into some ludicrous scandal that all the State Department supposedly turned off their safety features because of Clinton's server, IT'S NO WONDER CLINTON WANTED TO SHIELD HER EMAILS from such BS manipulation of benign words.

Hillary was right to set up a cowboy server, all hail Hillary.
