A conspiracy implies that there is something sneaky and hidden about the process, much of this (including Bill's campaigning in polling places without incarceration) has been pretty open regarding the DNC leadership and who they prefer as well as how they are tilting the field to insure that their candidate has as easy a time as they can make it taking the nomination, even if they have to bend a rule or break a law.

Not according to his record or statements.

Neither the Colonel nor anyone else I know has called Sanders a Dove. Sanders is not opposed to the use of military force when it is necessary, he just doesn't believe it should be the first, or is the best, Diplomatic tool to use for every international (or domestic) issue. It should always be the last option used. Too many U.S. politicians are seduced by having a big hammer and every problem and frustration around the world starts looking like nails to them.

Hillary started out with more than 350 delegates before the primaries even started, Clinton's delegate lead has, in general, been coming down since then, very few of the most populous states have voted yet and those that have, split the vote fairly evenly. The longer the contest has continued the greater the margin of Sanders' wins and the less of a lead Clinton has been able to hang onto. The only question now is if this trend will continue to accelerate, and if it will be sufficient to overcome Clinton's initial lead.

I'm not ignoring the braying donkey, I just am not convinced that her lead is insurmountable.

And yet again, I don't know how you are getting these numbers. Before the primaries started, Clinton had a lead of 350 super delegates alone. She now has a lead of 438 super delegates, which is up from then, not down. Clinton also currently has a lead of 212 pledged delegates, for a total delegate lead of 650.

As far as the most populous states, Texas and Florida are the 2 highest that have voted, and they both went decisively to Clinton: Texas with +32 points, and Florida +31.1 points. This is followed by IL that was close, then OH where Clinton was +13.8, and GA where Clinton was +43.1. In fact, out of the top 5 most populous states that have voted, Clinton has blown Sanders out with double digits in 4.

So she was ahead in superdelegates before the voting started. And now you leave the superdelegates out of the equation and declare Clinton's lead is shrinking? :boggled:

And it makes me ill watching Sanders' disingenuous, opportunistic attempt to use it as a stepping stone to the presidency. Sanders and his supporters are cynically employing the Democratic Party the way that a cuckoo employs the nests of other species of birds, the same way that Trump is using the Republican Party. According to Ms. Keirnan, Sanders and Trump are basically just unwelcome interlopers; spoilers that are interfering with what otherwise would have been a Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton presidency. And presumably, that's a very bad thing. Well, "one man's heaven is another man's hell", as the saying goes.

Trying not to make this a habit, the only excuse I have is a few days where I have only managed to get a few hours sleep due to the pain of a slipped disk pinching the nerves which service my left arm. This series of posts from last night was not due to any intoxicant other than the lack of sleep and a type of persistent pain that I am not used to. Today I do have meds onboard, enough to reduce the pain and see clearly what the last few days have wrought upon my reasoning skills.

I, again apologize to all, and will refrain from posting much at all until after this physical issue which is obviously affecting my mental capacities more seriously than I have understood till now, has been resolved.

Damn, man. I hope you recover soon! That sounds miserable.

See if your doc can prescribe you a TENS machine. These really help with back pain in my experience.
